About me
I am Sarah Flower, a registered clinical nutritionist with over 30 years of experience, author of 24 published cookbooks, and health writer for national publications including the Daily Mail, Top Santé and The Telegraph.
I work with clients across the UK — online via Zoom and face-to-face from my clinic in Exeter, Devon. I use a functional medicine approach that looks for root causes rather than managing symptoms, working with both men and women of all ages.
My areas of expertise include:
Gut health — bloating, food intolerances, leaky gut, H. pylori, SIBO, microbiome imbalance and complex digestive conditions
Hormonal health — hormonal changes through life stages, oestrogen balance, testosterone, adrenal health, thyroid and DUTCH testing
Women's health — hormone-related sleep disruption, fatigue, brain fog and weight changes in women over 40
Metabolic health — insulin resistance, blood sugar balance, weight management and GLP-1 medication support
Autoimmune conditions — inflammatory conditions, immune dysfunction and food triggers
Functional diagnostic testing — GI-MAP, SIBO breath test, DUTCH hormone panel, food intolerance testing, DNA testing and more
I take a practical, compassionate approach — helping clients understand what their bodies are telling them and creating realistic, achievable plans that fit into real life.
I offer a free 15-minute Zoom consultation to discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit — book directly at sarahflower.co.uk
As the author of 24 cookbooks published by Little, Brown, and a regular contributor to the national press, I bring both clinical depth and practical food knowledge to every client I work with.
