About us

Rick is a consultant dietitian (dietician) specialising in gastroenterology, mens' health and sports nutrition based at 25 Harley Street, London and King Edward VII's Hospital, Marylebone.

Rick is passionate about improving the lives of his patients and takes a holistic approach to treatment having received training in sports nutrition, functional and lifestyle medicine, naturopathy, ecological medicine and quantum biological techniques. He combines integrative and orthodox medicine to create a tailored service for his patients that best fits their needs and preferences to achieve optimal health.

In association with his expert personal training colleague, Mr Jack Everton, Rick also runs a men's health specialist team, Miller & Everton at 25 Harley Street. Together, they offer a hybrid of bespoke online and in-person appointments with mens'-health specific investigation as well as exercise programs and advanced body composition transformation using advanced performance testing.

Training, qualifications & experience

Rick is a highly experienced dietitian having spent more than 20 years as a nutritionist and 12 as a dietitian.

He qualified from St Andrews University in Human Biology in 2004, obtained Masters in Sport & Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University in 2008 before qualifying as a dietitian in 2010.

A number of those years were in the NHS covering specialities such as mens' and womens' health, nutrition for ageing, malnutrition with enteral feeding, gastroenterology, cardiology and rehabilitation, diabetes, paediatrics and obesity with bariatric surgery. 

Rick is also a visiting lecturer in sports and clinical nutrition to leading UK Universities as well as international sports nutrition certifications. 

Rick has extensive experience working with both novice and professional athletes up to Olympic standard and is able to perform expert anthropometric assessments (skin fold analyses) for those in need of optimising their body composition for sport or performance or arrange for DEXA scans at 25 Harley Street.

Rick is unique amongst his peers as a medico-legal trained dietitian holding a postgraduate diploma from Cardiff University. He reports to His Majesty's Courts and tribunal service as a medical expert witness for various cases on instruction from major legal firms in medical malpractice. 

Rick understands the rigours of athlete performance having competed in martial arts (Shotokan Karate) up to international level since high school and still trains today.
