About us

Rick Miller is a Consultant Dietitian specialising in men’s health, metabolic optimisation and performance. He consults from 25 Harley Street and King Edward VII’s Hospital in London.

With over 20 years in nutrition and more than 15 years as a registered dietitian, Rick combines clinical medicine with advanced diagnostic testing to help men improve body composition, hormone health, energy and long-term resilience.

He is the founder of Miller Health, London’s first dietitian-led men’s health clinic, created to provide men with a structured and data-driven approach to improving their health using objective testing rather than guesswork.

Rick works with men who:

Feel persistently tired
Suspect their hormones may not be optimal
Struggle with stubborn body fat
Want to improve strength, confidence and performance
Prefer measurable, evidence-led strategies

Through Miller Health, clients can access the Explore diagnostics package:

Advanced male-specific blood testing
DEXA body composition scanning
Resting metabolic rate (indirect calorimetry)
Structured nutrition coaching

Medical referral pathways including hormone assessment where appropriate

For men based outside London, Rick also oversees the Engage Dietitian Network: a growing male-focused clinical nutrition network delivering the same structured approach across multiple UK locations and online.

Engage allows clients to receive expert dietetic support under Rick’s clinical framework, whether for performance, weight management, metabolic health or long-term accountability.

If you are looking for a clear, professional and discreet pathway to improving your health, Rick offers a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine whether Explore or Engage is the right fit.

The Explore Mens' Health Testing Service at 25 Harley Street

The Explore package is £995 and includes two clinically validated, men’s health tests that provide exceptional health and performance information helping to quantify progress much more accurately and revealing much about a man's general health.

Explore includes:

DEXA scan - This is a dual x-ray which shows total bone mass, lean muscle mass and fat mass as well as visceral fat (fat around the organs). This is also a gold standard clinical investigation and all tests are reviewed by a rheumatologist at 25 Harley Street. A DEXA scan is not to be confused with InBody or other gym/home scales which cannot provide this level of body composition accuracy. DEXA scans are exceptional for helping to plan your nutrition, understand your present body composition and have an objective baseline to work from. With expert input the results also have predictive value of how much muscle could be potentially gained by determining a fat free mass index score.

Blood test - Our blood test is not a standard assessment, it is a 55-marker, male specific blood test. Showing markers for inflammation, cardiac health, hormonal health, stress and much more. This assessment is the best spread of data points on biochemistry for the average man. We make the process extremely simple and accurate by having our nurse come to your home to collect the blood sample.

Explore testing:

Do you accept female clients?

At this time, we are not accepting female clients at Miller Health

What payment methods do you accept?

We use a secure third party for payments called Stripe. Payment can be made by any valid credit or debit card (including American Express). Payment must be made in full before any test or program is booked.

Can I pay in instalments?

We are in the process of offering Klarna payments to allow our gentlemen who wish to use this method to access Explore. Please enquire for details.

Where does the Explore testing take place?

All clients who take advantage of the Explore tests will have their DEXA scan at 25 Harley Street, London. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer these tests anywhere else in the UK yet.

All blood tests are taken by our phlebotomy team at the clients' home and this can be anywhere in the UK.

Can I just do one part of the Explore test (e.g DEXA scan)?

We do offer the Explore DEXA scan test as a standalone - £300 but we do recommend blood work as well to complement the picture of a clients' health and body composition.

How do I prepare for the tests?

For blood tests we ask clients to fast from food (not water) for 12 hours prior to the blood test but take all medication as normal. We ask clients to request a morning appointment to make the fasting period overnight and to obtain the most accurate readings for the hormone panel.

For the metabolic test, we also request clients to fast for 12 hours and to refrain from strenuous exercise (such as gym workouts, HIIT or other exercise classes) the day before the test. Caffeine must not be consumed on the morning of the test but water can be consumed. The metabolic test requires you to wear a face mask (similar to a scuba mask) and to breathe into it in a lying position for 10 minutes. If you experience claustrophobia or cannot wear masks, this test is not suitable for you. No exercise is performed during the visit and you may wear whatever clothing you wish.

For the DEXA scan, there is no need to fast and it can take place at any time to suit the client.

Who performs the tests?

All tests are performed by qualified clinical staff, such as radiographers, nurses and healthcare assistants.

When should I expect the results?

Clients should expect the results of their tests and a compiled report within 48-72 hours by secure email.

Do you provide any nutrition advice in the report?

All reports are reviewed by Rick Miller, RD and you will receive a 30 minute feedback consultation where the emphasis is to discuss the findings. This may include some actionable recommendations but no meal, diet or supplementation plans as this cannot be legally provided unless a client becomes registered as a patient of Rick Miller RD or one of the Engage dietitians.

If any of the tests suggest an onward referral to a doctor should be made, this will be discussed with you.

Engage Coaching Package

Do you accept female clients?

At this time, we are not accepting female clients into Engage Coaching.

What is Engage Coaching?

The Engage Coaching package is a monthly, rolling subscription giving you access to local, expert male dietitian support when you need it. It includes a 30 minute call weekly in person consultation (at home or at your office) to keep you accountable, make plan modifications for a treatment/goal and ensure you reach your goal in the quickest time possible.

Who manages the membership?

The Engage Coaching Package is hosted and managed by your appointed male dietitian, who in turn reports to Rick Miller, RD as their team lead.

Are all appointments online?

No. At Miller Health we commit to two of the 30 minute weekly appointments to take place online or phone and two in-person. If you wish for all your appointments to be online or another mixture this can be arranged with the dietitian but there is no change in the coaching fee.

Clients can also use WhatsApp for communication between sessions, this is also included in the price (office hours for monitoring WhatsApp are 9-5pm GMT, Monday to Friday). WhatsApp can replace the 30 minute calls if preferred but this is not recommended.

How does Engage Coaching work?

The coaching begins with a 60 minute consultation where your dietitian will discuss your nutrition, medical history and training (including any results from your Explore tests if appropriate).  This information is then used to create your initial report and modify your plan week to week where needed.

What does a nutrition plan look like?

All nutrition plans vary according to the client but as a general rule there will be some commentary from the consultation, nutrition advice and an example meal plan to put into action. If there are any medical-specific actions, these will also be detailed.

What dietary approach do you follow?

At Miller Health we don’t follow any specific diet that is popular, it is based on your medical history, dietary needs, food and cultural preferences. If a specific dietary approach that you are presently following is not considered optimal for your specific circumstances, even if popular and considered 'healthy' your. dietitian will explain this to you and the reason.

In the Engage program, your appointed dietitian will be local to you and hence, will likely be able to make local recommendations for eating out, gyms, doctors, shopping and more.

How much does the membership cost?

The online nutrition membership is £500 per month and we ask for an initial commitment of 12 weeks (£1500). Once the first 12 weeks lapses, you will have a review to decide what the next steps for your coaching are best, either rolling membership (£500 a month) or a further 12 week or longer block (discounted).

How can I pay for my sessions?

All fees are payable by secure Stripe payments. After your initial payment Stripe will automatically create a direct debit on your chosen credit or debit card. We accept any form of credit or debit card (including American Express).

Does the Engage Coaching have a minimum period of commitment?

The Engage Coaching has a 12 weeks initial minimum commitment.

Do you accept medical insurance?

We may be able to accept some forms of medical insurance. Please enquire to ensure we can cover your payments.
