My goal is to help women get back to their best self, to show you that nutritious food really can taste great and make you feel amazing! I love real food and simple cooking using the freshest ingredients.
"I have lost weight and that has felt pretty effortless. Following Helen's recommendations has been really enjoyable as the food is so delicious – full fat foods, avocados, nuts – it really doesn’t feel like you are depriving yourself. Helen gave me lots of little tweaks to my diet and I am still losing weight.
My pain is gone, my sleep has improved hugely, I’m no longer craving sugar and I have stopped taking medications!
Helen’s coaching skills are amazing. She was never forceful about how I should eat, but gently dropped boosting sentences into our conversations"
What I can help with
I work mainly with women who are struggling with the symptoms of hormone imbalance or looking to improve their overall health and weight-loss. I am trained in health coaching, which is vital when helping you to take back control of their health.
I run 10 week bespoke nutrition and lifestyle programmes and also 4 week online groups.
After being diagnosed with a women's health condition after a long and frustrating period of trying to conceive, I visited a Nutritional Therapist. I had been taking fertility medication for 18 months and felt run down, helpless and at a low ebb. After my first appointment I felt like someone had finally listened to me and helped me to take control of my own health. As a result I was very lucky to enjoy two healthy, natural pregnancies and this kindled a passion about the powerful effects of nutrition.
I made a decision to give up my busy career and qualified with a distinction from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond.
In addition to my clinical work at Venus Nutrition I am a business mentor at Zest4Life.
In my spare time I can be found walking up the Surrey Downs with my very loyal Miniature Schnauzer Monty.
Training, qualifications & experience
I gained a distinction in my Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the respected Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION). I have also trained as a Health Coach with Zest4Life Ltd.
I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I am very active with Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Recent events have included: Endometriosis (Wild Nutrition), Peri Menopause (Dr Carrie Jones), Nutrition Endocrinology (Rob Rabowski) and Clinical Trinity 2 (Michael Ash and Anthony Haynes).
The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.
There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.
All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.
Information about health conditions (*)
Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE PROGRAMME
Many clients come to me thinking that they kind of know what to do but really struggle to change. Staying motivated is hard, this is where my health coaching skills can really help. I will bring you the nutrition science to unpick what is going on but I will also support and motivate you.
We will work together for 10-12 weeks, I have found this is the optimal time for you to implement your plan and make the changes that you need to make. If you' would like to see how I will support you, book a FREE health and energy review with me. You can tell me a little bit about what is going on for you and I can give you some tips you can put into practice right away. You can book your free call by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prior to the consultation you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire and a 3 day food and lifestyle diary. The first consultation will last approximately 90 minutes. We will discuss the history of your health in detail. I will then work closely with you to devise a suitable nutrition and lifestyle programme focusing on the goals that you have set. Your programme will include dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes and supplement recommendations.
I also provide on-going support in the form of nutrition and lifestyle modules (through your client portal), recipes and shopping advice. In addition, appropriate, functional testing may be recommended to add useful further information to steer your programme.
I usually recommend follow up consultations of 30-60 minutes every week or every other week to discuss the progress of your programme and make any appropriate adjustments. All results and interpretation of any tests are then discussed and incorporated into your programme.
