About me

Venus Nutrition is a team of women’s health specialists supporting women through every stage of life. Our mission is to help you reclaim your energy, vitality and confidence through personalised nutrition.

Most women are managing demanding careers, family responsibilities and the expectations of “doing it all”. It’s no surprise the body eventually shows signs of strain. Fatigue, stubborn weight gain, mood swings, cravings, poor sleep and skin changes are often signals that your system is under pressure.

Without support, this can increase the risk of hormonal issues, premature ageing and metabolic imbalance.

At Venus Nutrition we believe the most powerful tools for restoring your health start in your kitchen. Our approach builds a positive relationship with nourishing, simple, delicious food, supported by personalised advice and practical steps. Our goal is for you to feel in control of your health, appearance, weight, energy and sleep.
Helen Moynihan, Founder

My interest in women’s health began with my own journey. After a long and emotional period trying to conceive, I was diagnosed with a women’s health condition and prescribed fertility medication for 18 months. I felt exhausted, overwhelmed and out of options.

Working with a Nutritional Therapist changed everything. I finally felt heard, understood and empowered to take control of my health. I went on to have two healthy, natural pregnancies, and discovered a deep passion for the impact of nutrition.

I left my corporate career and retrained, graduating with distinction from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond. Today, alongside my clinical work, I mentor other nutrition professionals as a business mentor at Zest4Life.

Outside work, you’ll find me walking the Surrey Downs with my loyal Miniature Schnauzer, Flossie.

Our Team

We are a hand-picked team of nutritional therapists and health coaches specialising in women’s health - from pre-conception and fertility through perimenopause to vibrant ageing. We deliver personalised care focused on optimising metabolic health, supporting digestion, balancing hormones and helping women feel their best at every stage of life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I gained a distinction in my Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the respected Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION). I have also trained as a Health Coach with Zest4Life Ltd.

I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

I am very active with Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Recent events have included: Endometriosis (Wild Nutrition), Peri Menopause (Dr Carrie Jones), Nutrition Endocrinology (Rob Rabowski) and Clinical Trinity 2 (Michael Ash and Anthony Haynes).

If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE PROGRAMME

Many clients come to us thinking that they kind of know what to do but really struggle to change. Staying motivated is hard, this is where our health coaching skills can really help. We will bring you the nutrition science to unpick what is going on but we will also support and motivate you.

We will work together for 12 weeks, we have found this is the optimal time for you to implement your plan and make the changes that you need to make.   If you' would like to see how I will support you, book a FREE health and energy review with me. You can tell me a little bit about what is going on for you and I can give you some tips you can put into practice right away. You can book your free call by emailing me at helen@venusnutrition.co.uk.

First consultation

Prior to the consultation you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire and a 3 day food and lifestyle diary. The first consultation will last approximately 90 minutes. We will discuss the history of your health in detail. We will then work closely with you to devise a suitable nutrition and lifestyle programme focusing on the goals that you have set. Your programme will include dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes and supplement recommendations.

We also provide on-going support in the form of nutrition and lifestyle modules (through your client portal), recipes and shopping advice. In addition, appropriate, functional testing may be recommended to add useful further information to steer your programme.

Additional consultations

We usually recommend follow up consultations of 30-60 minutes every week or every other week to discuss the progress of your programme and make any appropriate adjustments. All results and interpretation of any tests are then discussed and incorporated into your programme.
