My goal is to spread the message about healthy eating, to show people that nutritious food really can taste great and make you feel amazing! I love real food and simple cooking using the freshest ingredients. I find it exciting when I discover delicious foods that contain properties to benefit our health.
What I can help with
I work mainly with women who are struggling with the symptoms of hormone imbalance or looking to improve their overall health. I have a background in coaching and development, skills I utilise when helping a client to take back control of their health.
In addition to one to one consultations, I can help with all aspects of nutrition from cookery demonstrations and nutrition workshops to supermarket visits that help you make the right food choices and clearing and restocking your kitchen cupboards.
After being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries after a long and frustrating period of trying to conceive, I visited a Nutritional Therapist. I had been taking fertility medication for 18 months and felt run down, helpless and at a low ebb. After my first appointment I felt like someone had finally listened to me and helped me to take control of my own health. As a result I was very lucky to enjoy two healthy, natural pregnancies and this kindled a passion about the powerful effects of nutrition.
I made a decision to give up my busy career and qualified with a distinction from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond.
In addition to my clinical work at Venus Nutrition I work at Nuffield Health Centre in Bromley, advising clients on the use of nutrition in areas such as weight control, digestion, female health, sports nutrition and stress management
In my spare time I can be found walking up the Surrey Downs with my very loyal Miniature Schnauzer Monty.
Training, qualifications & experience
I gained a distinction in my Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the respected Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION).
I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I am very active with Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Recent events have included: Healing Foods for Digestive Health and Women's Health (Belinda Blake), Nutrition Endocrinology (Rob Rabowski) and Clinical Trinity 2 (Michael Ash and Anthony Haynes).

INITIAL CONSULTATION £80
Prior to the consultation you will be asked to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire and a 3 day food and lifestyle diary. The first consultation will last approximately 1 ¼ hours. We will discuss the history of your health in detail. I will then work closely with you to devise a suitable nutrition and lifestyle programme focusing on the goals that you have set. Your programme will include dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes and supplement recommendations.
I also provide on-going support in the form of nutritional information sheets, recipes, meal plans and shopping advice. In addition, appropriate, functional testing may be recommended to add useful further information to steer your programme.
FOLLOW UP CONSULTATIONS £60
I usually recommend follow up consultations of 60 minutes every 4-6 weeks to discuss the progress of your programme and make any appropriate adjustments. All results and interpretation of any tests are then discussed and incorporated into your programme.
