About me

My name is Vicki Gotham. I am an experienced Nutritional Therapist and Weight Management Coach. I practice full time from a natural therapy clinic in Leamington Spa. I am also qualified in Kinesiology and Bioresonance. These additional therapies allow me to dig deeper into the root causes of my clients' health issues. They are effective for assessing many key issues, including food intolerances, nutrient deficiency, gut health, toxin load and hormone balance.

I qualified in Nutritional Therapy in 2007 from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the government recognised Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

To better help clients with stubborn weight issues I also qualified in 2010 as a Coach in the internationally renowned Metabolic Balance® Weight Management programme. This is a highly effective set plan of 8 consultations over 3-4 months. An individually tailored diet is created for you on the basis of an initial blood test. The diet is based on real food to balance and fine tune weight loss hormones.

I became interested in complementary medicine when I experienced first hand the dramatic effect that dietary and lifestyle change can have on overall health. I travelled a lot in my 20’s and became very run down. My diet was terrible. I was fatigued, low mood, my skin and hormones were terrible and I kept falling ill. Worst of all I had a sense of brain fog all the time.

Medical doctors and tests, including two MRIs, kept telling me that I was fine. On paper everything was normal. So I looked further afield. That is when I discovered the world of complementary therapy and my life changed.

I visited a Nutritional Therapist and cleaned up my diet. I discovered and treated a gut infection. At this point I became functional again and started training to become a therapist myself. Since then I have gone on to discover, research and treat further issues - mould exposure and toxicity, various toxins including mercury from metal fillings, a cavitation infection in my gum, adrenal fatigue, parasites, viral issues, SIBO, Lyme disease.

I was what I would call a "complex case". I now see many complex clients with all sorts of unexplainable symptoms. My view however is that all symptoms are explainable - you just need the tools to uncover the root causes. This is where the Bioresonance and Kinesiology are key. I include both of these therapies in all my consultations to investigate root cause issues that need correcting. I combine these investigations with dietary assessment and advice to give my clients a really personalised way forward.

I may also recommend functional laboratory testing if I feel that it will help. The most common tests I order are hormone, adrenal or thyroid panels. If you have any previous test results then I would be happy to view those as part of your consultation.

I have used Far Infrared therapy as part of my own health journey. It is a deeply penetrating, healing heat, similar to the warmth of sunlight. I use it combined with reiki primarily to boost detoxification, liver and kidney function and lymphatic drainage. Immune function is aided and joint discomfort can be reduced after an Infrared session.

I see clients with diverse health issues, though I do find that gut issues (especially bloating), fatigue, hormonal and skin issues are very common – and usually interlinked.

I also offer an online course - Low Tox Living - this is a deep dive into the world of everyday environmental toxins. Perfect for anyone interested to learn more about living a life with less chemicals.

Your Consultation

To investigate and understand your health issues I ask you to complete a detailed questionnaire in advance of your consultation. We can discuss this in depth at your initial consultation at which I will aim to get a detailed picture of your current health issues, your health history and your diet.

I will also use Bioresonance and Kinesiology muscle testing to further assess your health. This enables me to dig deeper into underlying imbalances which may be contributing to your symptoms.

I may also recommend functional laboratory testing if it seems appropriate, though I usually start with the Bioresonance and Kinesiology investigations in the first instance.

At the end of a consultation I will give you recommendations for dietary changes that you can put into practice immediately. I provide meal ideas and handouts to support recommendations that I make.

I am happy to take email or phone queries between consultations. I do not charge extra for this support. I generally recommend 2-6 weeks between appointments, depending on your health issues.

The Metabolic Balance Weight Management programme has a different structure to the above. It is a set plan consisting of 8 consultations over 3-4 months. It commences with a blood test, the results of which are used to generate an individual dietary plan for you to achieve steady sustainable weight loss. I use the Bioresonance and Kinesiology within the structure of the MB plan also.

Small Group Workshops

In addition to my one to one consultations I also offer workshops approximately once per month on various topics. For example..

- Introduction to Essential Oils
- Green Cleaning & Home
- Natural Skincare with Diet, Lifestyle & Essential Oils
- Hormone Balance with Diet, Lifestyle & Essential Oils
- Mood Balancing with Diet, Lifestyle & Essential Oils

- Aromatic Anchoring for Stress & Mood
