About me
Hello, I’m Karen, a registered nutritional therapist & certified health coach with a psychology degree & I have a special interest in women's and teenage health and nutrition.
I commonly support individuals who have low energy, gut health symptoms & hormonal and menstrual cycle imbalances.
Many of the women I meet are juggling a multitude of balls and hovering around the perimenopause years. As a working mum of three, I take a realistic and balanced approach and don't expect you to start cooking from scratch and making your own bread - unless you want to of course!
Family nutrition is a key part of my tool kit for helping women prioritise their nutrition, whilst also considering their family's needs.
I provide practical information such as shopping lists, time saving tips and recipes as well as using my scientific knowledge of nutrition to help you incorporate advice into your daily routine, in a realistic and practical way.
Qualifications & Professional Membership
As a qualified nutritional therapist, I am a member of BANT and registered with the CNHC. I also hold a Psychology degree and have trained to be a Certified Health Coach and Lifecode GX trained Nutrigenomics practitioner. I continuously undertake CPD relating to digestion, hormones and female and paediatric health and nutrition

TESTIMONIALS
Julia with Long Covid
"Karen's been incredibly methodical exploring different pathways & so forensic & thoughtful in helping me navigate what is still such a new & not very well-understood condition. She is also really good (and very patient!) at explaining the science."
Elaine with Sjogren's Syndrome , an autoimmune disease.
" It’s been an incredibly scary time. Karen really is a kind & caring person & her knowledge and encouraging personality was an enormous comfort. We worked on a food plan & supplements & the difference they've made is amazing. "
Testimonial from Maria with Histamine Intolerance
"Karen has helped me navigate histamine intolerance; a complex health issue with many side effects. She has also helped me with mid life hormone issues for which my GP was not able to offer anything that worked. Since a big part of our health comes from what we put in our bodies, I would recommend Karen's services highly."

Consultations - What to Expect
I believe in a balanced approach to life and I apply this to my practice. I work with you as an individual, personalising consultations and nutrition advice to ensure that you receive a Nutrition Plan that best suits your needs, which is also achievable and appropriate for your lifestyle and budget.
I aim to make you feel at ease from the outset, by really listening, acknowledging and getting to grips with the issues at play, employing health coaching skills to help you identify and achieve your goals and to break down barriers to change.
You won’t feel hurried along in consultations and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.
As part of my holistic service I work in cooperation with GP’s and health care professionals where appropriate and I can recommend and analyse private tests as part of the consultation process including stool, hormone and nutrition testing.

Further information
As a nutritional therapist, I combine my love of good food and natural healthcare to help my clients thrive and achieve their health goals, which for me is just the most fantastic job to be doing.
I decided to train in nutritional therapy after successfully using food and supplements to support both my own and my children's health and I have personally tackled gut health issues and histamine intolerance.
I enjoy helping clients to feel at their best through food and lifestyle medicine changes, but also appreciate the importance of pharmaceutical drugs and therefore continuously undertake professional pharmacology training to support clients.
