Hello. My name is Julie.
I am a registered Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath, Homeopath, Yoga Therapist and Massage Therapist. I have been working in integrated health since the year 2000. I have published two books: one on yoga for birth, and one on yoga for mothers and babies. I have experience of working in the NHS and appreciate the value of integrated health.
My passions are naturopathy, nutrition and functional medicine - I strongly believe in lifestyle medicine and in digging deep to find out what has led a person to ill health or lack of vitality. My job is to listen very carefully to your life story and to work out what has led you to get to where you are today, making a plan with you to improve your health and vitality using nutrition, lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements if required, mindfulness, relaxation and breathing techniques to combat stress, all which can help you see the world in a new light.
I am committed to helping you stay healthy and avoid ill health. I am a DNA life practitioner which means I am trained to work with DNA Life (Nordic Laboratories) health reports and offer guidance in optimising health. We now know that genes are not our destiny but the environment we live in can switch our genes on or off. So basically, what you eat, how you sleep, relax, exercise, whether you are happy or not, all can influence whether you may get the health problems which may run in your family.
This all sounds rather serious and a bit overwhelming, doesn't it? But I am a friendly soul and enjoy a giggle so I will always make sure you feel at ease and together we can improve your health and mindset.
My interests include pregnancy care and support, women's health, sexual health, fertility, autoimmune conditions, stress, low mood, cognitive challenges, working with teenagers, weight challenges, sleep issues, midlife crises, feeling fed up or simply wanting to get healthy and feel happier.
