About me
Hello. How are you today?
The fact that you are reading this probably means you have reached the point of “I’ve had enough of feeling like this! “ or you may be feeling frustrated with the way you are feeling and ready to start feeling different. This could be with your physical health, your mood or even your spirit. But let’s be honest, most health issues touch on all three of these so that’s why my approach to supporting the whole person: body, mind and spirit is so useful and effective.
My job is to get you feeling happier and healthier as quickly as possible. This may be a particularly health challenge, perhaps a few health challenges or generally not feeling at your best.
I would be delighted to work with you in a friendly, warm, compassionate way, supporting you all the way.
Why I may be a good fit for you?
If you are looking for a warm, friendly, supportive practitioner, then I may be a good fit for you.
I hold an MSc in Personalised Nutrition, and have training in functional medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, yoga therapy and mental health.
Over the years, I have worked across the NHS, private clinics, hospitals and community settings, Maternity, as well as running online health clinics.
Recent training and passions have been in integrative coaching, positive psychology, meaning and purpose, training for resilience and character strengths training. I am currently training with the Human Givens Institute in counselling and psychotherapy.
I strongly believe in lifestyle medicine and in digging deep to find out what has led you to have your health struggles. My job is to listen very carefully to your life story and to work out what has led you to get to where you are today, making a plan with you to improve your health and vitality using nutrition, lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements if required, mindfulness, relaxation and breathing techniques to combat stress, coaching and mindset interventions, all which can help you see the world in a new light and help you to feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I tend to attract people who need support with Fertility, women’s health, pregnancy, for performance and vitality, gut issues, Stress, immune health, autoimmune conditions, fatigue or low energy, low mood and overwhelm, sleep issues, feeling fed up or simply wanting to get healthy and feel happier. If you need a very friendly approach and may feel a little anxious or stressed I may be the practitioner for you. I am down to earth and promise to make you smile
My many years of working in women’s health may mean that women struggling with hormonal challenges, low mood, overwhelm and stress may feel comfortable with me. My many years of working with pregnant women and couples, my qualifications in neonatal and maternal health means women and their partners needing support with fertility and pregnancy may find me a good fit.
My extra training in mental health and coaching may mean is you need help on multiple levels and feel you are stuck or in a pickle than I may be the practitioner for you.
My training as a teacher and down to earth approach and humour (although I’m not sure how funny I am!) also means I work well with young adults.
My passion for nature, animal welfare and environmental health may mean if this is important to you, I may be the right fit for you.

Testimonial
"I first went to see Julie because of frequent health issues, which I experienced up to 3 times a week, which I was managing with medication. I was also quite stressed and suffering from in my joints. Julie took a full history on the first session and within a few days had provided me with lots of advice on diet, supplements and lifestyle, specifically tailored to my health problems which I was able to start putting into practice immediately. Straight away my symptoms reduced in number and severity and I have been able to stop taking my medication altogether. I also feel much calmer, my joints have improved significantly and I have more energy. Julie is such a knowledgeable practitioner and is very warm and compassionate and I’m so grateful for the help and support she has given me. When I look back to how I felt 3 months ago when I had my first appointment with Julie I am amazed at how much my health has improved." - Alison
