Hello, I’m Ailsa, a Registered Nutritional Therapist & Health Coach, creator of The Midlife Method, a high-level 1:1 12-week programme for menopausal women who want to lose weight, fix their hot flushes and stop feeling knackered and start feeling confident and in control so they live the life they love.

Dip ION Diploma in Nutritional Therapy with distinction at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I am also a Certified Health Coach and attend regular professional seminars relevant to menopausal and midlife women's health to keep up to date with the latest scientific research in my specialist areas.

I have extensive personal experience experience of living through perimenopause while spinning a lot of plates. I'm now post-menopausal.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including massage, aromatherapy and nutrition.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT)

The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.

There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.

All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.

Nutritional therapy combined with coaching is a very personal approach. Your previous medical history, and any current symptoms as well as what you like and don’t like, not to mention your personal circumstances are really important when I make a plan for you. It is personalised just for you. That takes both time and skill. You could download something from the internet – if you knew what you were looking for – but it is not the same.
