About me

I am Eugenia Grand, a Registered Dietitian and member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) & the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

I’m passionate about the role food plays in our lives, and I believe that developing a positive relationship with food is essential for overall wellness. Furthermore, the quality of our diets is crucial for our health and the health of future generations. Therefore, I promote healthy eating amongst people planning pregnancy and children of all ages because it is critical for chronic disease prevention.

I am an experienced dietitian with a demonstrated history of working in hospital and community settings. Over the years I worked in the NHS, I covered various specialities: nutritional support in adults, gastroenterology, weight management in children and adults, gestational diabetes and type 2 diabetes, allergies in children, oncology, and nutrition in critically ill ( intensive care).

I have experience working for a digital health company delivering remote remission programmes for diabetics, as well as education and behavioural change support for prediabetes and type 2 diabetic patients.

Furthermore, I specialize in fertility nutrition, female health, and pregnancy as a freelancer. I am interested in male fertility and offer consultations to couples preparing for IVF or other fertility treatments.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Tartu and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 14 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
