About me

Practice : Naturopathic Health Clinic In The Heart Of Saffron Walden

As a qualified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Naturopathic Nutritionist, I spend time listening to my client's medical history, looking at genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that can influence long term health and cause complex chronic disease.

The initial consultation is the crucial stage of building up a picture of health, goals and challenges. Initially, I assess your health history, current and past symptoms, nutritional habits, lifestyle and emotional stressors. Once all of that information is gathered, I am able to develop an individual and bespoke protocol (Plan), which is based on scientific evidence, implementing diet and lifestyle changes to help you reach your health goals. We work together to achieve optimal health with an individual approach with on-going support and follow up consultations. In addition, I may recommend other complementary medicines like homeopathy, herbal medicine and acupuncture.

My passion for Naturopathic Nutrition and Functional Medicine came about through my own health issues. 11 years ago I was diagnosed with abnormal cells of the cervix and many other women's health problems as well as struggling with my blood sugar control. I was suffering with bowel problems, low energy, spots, thinning hair and nutritional deficiencies at such a young age. The hospital quickly realised I was managing the cervical cell changes by diet. I went under a nutritional therapist and homeopath to gain much more knowledge of what was happening in my body to cause me to be in a state of disease.

I wanted to learn much more in-depth of why at such a young age I was in a state of disease with numerous health issues and symptoms. I wanted to understand the root cause. I also wanted to understand the biochemistry of the body, which led me to get my qualification in Naturopathic Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Change of diet, nutrition and lifestyle based on scientific evidence, has enabled me to be healthier than I've been in years and I have been signed off by the hospital.

Naturopathic Nutritional advice will be tailored to support medically diagnosed conditions and / or health concerns. I am not permitted to diagnose.

My knowledge has helped me manage disease. I no longer have pain, I no longer have women's health problems. I no longer have problems with blood sugar control or have abnormal cells of the cervix. This is what makes me so passionate to help others achieve optimal health.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Naturopathic Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner under the internationally renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. My training has given me a scientific based understanding of how the human body functions. All of the systems of the body are designed to work together to achieve optimal health. When we overload these systems with toxins, unhealthy foods and stress, these systems do not work to their full potential and your health suffers.

I am registered and regulated by The Association of Naturopathic Practitoners (ANP), The Bristish Association for Applied Nutritional Therapy (BANT), The Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Continued education in Naturopathy and Iridology.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Testing

I've carefully selected and work with a number of testing companies in the UK, Europe and the USA. The testing I am able to offer includes, stool testing, adrenal stress test, SIBO breath testing, hormone testing, parasite testing, nutritional deficiency testing, food intolerance testing and many more.

As a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner, my role is to understand any imbalances that may be present and not to at any stage diagnose you with a condition or disease.

At Naturopathic Health I always stay mindful to not overuse functional lab testing, unless I feel it will provide useful information required for a personalised protocol (plan).
