About me

I'm Charlotte, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and I work primarily with gut health and female hormones.  I spent my younger years working in the fast-paced and fun environment of the music industry.  Burning the candle at both ends was the norm, a badge of honor even but after some years of this work hard, play hard approach, issues with my health started to emerge.

Around this time, I began to struggle with gut difficulties and turned to a nutritionist for help. Over the next decade, I used nutrition and lifestyle to help with gut health, skin disturbances, and mood.  In my early 40s, I also found the benefits of the right nutrition to ease symptoms of perimenopause. Having proved to myself the power of nutrition and lifestyle over and again, I knew I wanted to practice nutrition professionally.

My female clients often struggle with hormone-related symptoms such as feeling tired or problems with mood, bloating and a foggy head.  Some are diagnosed with conditions already whilst others just don’t know what’s going on. Managing weight is a big factor around hormone health for both men and women, whether you are in your 30s or your 50s and that’s something I work on too.

Gut issues may be very simple to address or a little more tricky.  The good news is we have lots of tools to get to the root of the problem and supplements to try. There are inexpensive dietary tips as well as sophisticated tests that give us lots of information to work with.  What’s important is that, we work together and pick the right approach for you and your circumstances.

Whether it is women’s health or gut health you need help with, all decisions are made together.  We work around what you already eat and improve on that.  We work at your pace with your goal in sight whether that’s more energy or less bloating, weight loss, or just seeing your symptoms lessen.

I’m here to support you on your health journey.

The First Consultation

In the first consultation, we take a detailed look at your medical history and the issues you currently have.  This is an opportunity to explain your concerns and any suspicions you may have as to why you are experiencing these symptoms in a private and confidential setting.  I then explain the area I believe to be the most beneficial to work on and together we will come up with a strategy that works for you and that gets you the best results.

The following consultations will be used to assess the strategy and measure your progress.  We may see quick results and only require 3 consultations or if there are a number of complex imbalances, it may take a little longer.  We will keep communication open at all times so you are fully in the loop as to how and when to expect positive outcomes.

Nutritional Therapy is a powerful tool to put you in control of your health, regaining and maintaining wellbeing.  It can benefit a wide variety of complaints from Digestion health, mental health, ageing, hormonal health, weight management, cardiovascular health, energy issues and much more.

FREE CALL - You can get in touch anytime for a 'no obligation' phone call where I can explain the process in more detail and explain how nutritional therapy can help you. Please call me on 07767 678 483 or send an email here.

Kiran Mahey 8th August 2023.                                                                                      I've worked with Charlotte for the past 6 months. I started with her when I was feeling so down, kept on getting ill and had non stop doctors appointments.

Charlotte spent so much time going through my history, listening to my concerns and giving me advice. I feel like she genuinely cares and looks at the whole picture.

Since starting with her my gut issues have massively improved and I've lost 11kg. This was with no calorie counting or tracking portions, although my diet drastically changed.

I view food completely differently now, and this will last for life.
I do want to stress she does not enforce insanely restrictive diets, and anything she advises you cut out is only for a while and not forever.

We're still working with each other and we have a long way to go, but I feel like I can see light at the end of the tunnel!

'Having three meetings with Charlotte was one of the best decisions I made this year. Charlotte has a friendly approach to sessions, she is meticulous in her prep work and guidance and thorough when making recommendations to food and exercise adjustments. Her advice has helped me navigate the complex changes that occur around the midlife, notably around glucose intake. I cannot recommend her enough.'

Cassandra Asiedu, 10 months ago

The changes to my diet and lifestyle were realistic, simple and achievable. I found this process really enlightening and I would highly recommend Charlotte to anyone.'

Daryl Bamonte, London, October 2019
'I booked a Nutritional consultation with Charlotte as I was feeling a bit fatigued. She looked at everything in fine detail and put me on a program which, along with recommended exercise, led to me reducing cholesterol from 7.4 to 4.9, losing 9kgs, feeling happier & healthier and sleeping better. My GP was suitably impressed.'
