About me

Gut Issues | Weight Loss | Sports Nutrition | Food Allergies

I am an experienced nutritionist based in Belper, Derbyshire, qualified through the College of Naturopathic Medicine. I work from my practice room in tranquil surroundings only 15 minutes drive from Derby city centre.

We live life at breakneck speed; you've been eating on the run for long enough and you sense your body is telling you things but you can't make the connections. You're eating well, you're cooking from fresh, you take supplements, you understand food's importance but you don't feel 'Super-You'; that optimal wellness and vitality.  That's where it's good to talk to a professional, to get back on track, to join up the dots.  It's only when you feel better that you realise how bad you felt before.  Yes, and I've been there too!

My job is to look at why you might be feeling less energetic, or can't stay awake in the afternoons, or don't sleep at night, or have put on weight you can't shift.  So if you like it's about finding out why the cracks have formed not just to plaster over them.  It's about looking at where the damp is getting in not just painting over it; cleaning out the wound, not just putting a plaster over it.

I do this by using the functional medicine model to test function in the body and adaptations to diet and lifestyle to support optimal wellness not just the absence of disease; the A-side of the album not the flip-side, establishing better levels of vitality and resilience and optimising wellness by supporting the constitution you were born with through the creation of your own personal nutrition plan with periodic reviews
