About me

Gut Issues | Weight Loss | Sports Nutrition | Food Allergies | Fatigue | Fertility

I am an experienced nutrition practitioner based in Belper, Derbyshire, qualified through the College of Naturopathic Medicine. I work from my practice room in tranquil surroundings only 15 minutes drive from Derby city centre or 40 minutes from Nottingham and by Skype.

We are leading our lives at breakneck speed!  Perhaps it's the case that you've been eating on the run for long enough and you sense your body is telling you things but you can't make the connections? Maybe you're eating well, you're cooking from fresh, you take supplements, you understand food is important but you don't feel 'Super-You'; that optimal wellness and vitality? That's where it's good to talk to a professional, to get back on track and join up the dots.  It's only when you feel better that you realise how bad you felt before.  Yes, and I've been there too!

My job is to look at why you might be feeling less energetic, feel sleepy in the afternoons but can't sleep at night, put on weight you can't shift, struggle with periods or joint pain and so on.  So if you like it's about finding out why the cracks have formed not just plastering over them.

During your consultation, I will listen carefully to your story, decide with you how best to help you to make the necessary changes to your diet and lifestyle to achieve better work/life balance that will fit in with the demands of your working and home lives.  Where there is loss of optimal function such as may be seen in for example, cases of persistently loose or dry motions or low energy, I use reputable labs to carry out functional testing to establish what is at the root and what is driving your condition and therefore where your health needs most support.  This also creates a point from which to measure success over subsequent review consultations.

The aim will be to help you regain your former vitality, resilience and optimal healthfulness or, as in many cases to achieve better levels than you have previously remembered.  Now is a good time to invest in your future health and wellness!
