About me

Hi, I’m Kim Parker, a registered Nutritional Therapist. I mainly see women who come to me with various issues such as hormonal imbalances, fatigue, high stress, gut health issues, weight concerns and immune problems. I genuinely know how it feels to not feel yourself and have witnessed first hand how powerful nutritional therapy can be. My clients regularly report back to me with increased energy, more stable hormones, better sleep, greater resilience to stress, and weight loss.

I was drawn to nutritional therapy following an illness in my late 20s - I was left exhausted, my mood was low, and my immune system was on the floor. Although conventional medical treatments provided some relief, they merely addressed the surface symptoms without tackling the underlying issues. A search for answers led me down the path of nutritional therapy and I began to witness profound improvements in my well-being. This revelation was a huge turning point for me and led me to study nutritional therapy - an experience that genuinely altered the course of my life. I graduated in 2005 with a Distinction

How does it work?

My aim is always to get to the root cause of your health issues rather than just looking at the symptoms. In your first consultation, I will take a thorough case history and ask questions about your symptoms, diet and lifestyle. I will explain any potential underlying factors which could be affecting your health for example poor digestion, lack of certain nutrients or a hormone imbalance.

I then create a Health Optimisation Plan which is tailored to specific health concerns such as gut health, hormonal health, fatigue, weight loss, and immunity. Each person's plan contains personalised dietary and lifestyle suggestions and may also include recommendations for supplements. Functional testing such as a hormone or stool test may be recommended to assess any imbalances and inform personalised diet and lifestyle recommendations. As a certified Nutrigenomics Practitioner, I also have the capacity to provide nutrigenomics DNA testing.

Your Health Optimisation Plan will focus on good, unprocessed and enjoyable food so you feel nourished not deprived. You won’t be following any fad diets or calorie counting.

Creating your Health Optimisation Plan is a collaborative process – we will work together to establish what changes you are able to make. Your plan will be personalised to your lifestyle taking into consideration work and family commitments, budget, food likes and dislikes.

Making changes can be overwhelming especially when we lead busy lives. I am committed to listening to your health story and to helping you achieve your health goals. I provide ongoing guidance and support to help you stick to your nutrition programme. My aim is to educate you to make the right choices and set you up with skills for the rest of your life.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Further information

Here is what some of my clients have said:

“I would recommend Kim to anybody who feels like something is missing in their nutrition. I was feeling stuck in a rut, in a cycle of yo-yo dieting and unable to make sense of where I was going wrong. Kim listened to my concerns, and gave me a thorough plan as to how I could improve the way I was eating without worrying about measuring, calories, or counting. The knowledge she gave me has revolutionised the way I eat and think about fuelling my body, and I am so thankful for it.”
Nikki

“Thank you so much for your help this year. I am hugely appreciative of how much impact and difference your advice and help has had. Looking forward to continuing the journey.”
Leyla

“I booked an appointment with Kim as I was experiencing a bloated tummy, low energy, and I was unable to lose weight. Kim completed a thorough assessment and tailored a nutrition plan to meet my needs. I am now feeling more energised, my food intake has improved as well as my gut health, and I am feeling less bloated. Kim continues to review my progress and advise accordingly. Thank you Kim!”
Jennie

“I booked myself in to see Kim because of my immune condition. I wanted to see if I could do anything to help feel less tired and more energetic - and to lose some weight. The zoom consultation was really therapeutic - it was 'me' time. Kim looked at my diet and my blood test results and created a tailored plan which I still follow and we continue to review. It was a very informative and enjoyable experience. Thank you Kim!”.
