Angela Loftus, BSc (Hons), DipION, mBANT, CNHC
The Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic
Old Chorleywood Road
My name is Angela Loftus and I am a fully qualified and Registered Nutritional Therapist working in Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.
I graduated in 2015 after 3 years studying at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy.
I have been passionate about nutrition for much longer than I have been qualified but since
qualifying I have seen numerous clients and helped them take charge of their health and transform their lives in the following areas:
better digestion (e.g embarassing bloating, gas, acid reflux, cramps etc)
hormonal balance (e.g. night sweats, hot flushes, unexplained low mood, mood swings and skin break outs)
optimal sports performance (e.g.macro nutrients and supplements to support your training goal)
healthy ageing ( e.g excess weight around the middle, tired all the time)
How does it work?
Completion of a health questionnaire by you which includes your health history, any diagnosed health conditions, your current symptoms, dietary and lifestyle habits together with your health goal(s).
Prior to your initial consultation I look at the potential root causes of your ill health not just your symptoms and identify any nutrient imbalances and deficiencies which may be preventing you from optimal health.
At your first consultation, I discuss your health goals and based on dietary and lifestyle analysis, together we develop a health optimisation plan which will include key recommendations to restore health and wellbeing in practical, sustainable steps that fit with your lifestyle and individual demands.
Follow up consultations are usually monthly and in order to resolve your symptoms and attain your health goals this is not normally achieved in less than 3 consultations and sometimes more.
To summarise how I work
"to take control of your health is to take control of your life" so prioritising your health and making the necessary changes to resolve your symptoms with help from an evidence based nutritional perspective is something I am deeply passionate about and I relish the challenges of working with individual clients in order that they can "eat well. work well and live well."

Testimonial from client ( January 2018)
" I initially consulted Angela to help with my general wellbeing as I had been diagnosed with stress and low mood and I also had weight concerns.
Angela was very personable. professional and easy to talk to. I felt she really cared and totally understood my health concerns and her dietary recommendations were clearly explained and realistic.
She motivated and encouraged to look at other areas of my life which would advance my wellbeing and made sensible recommendations for weight management including exercise regimes which I have adopted.
All in all Angela was a rare find, I would have no hesitation in consulting her again and I would recommend her without reservation"
