About me

I am an experienced BANT-registered nutritional therapist, with specific interests  in blood glucose regulation and weight management including disordered eating. I was drawn to this area following my own struggles with my weight and body image, and my work as an NHS health coach, where I witnessed first-hand the positive effects of diet and lifestyle on blood glucose levels. I have successfully worked with my clients on reversing their prediabetes and bringing their T2D under better control.  My focus is strongly on helping my clients to make meaningful changes to their lifestyles, using my specialist training in coaching and motivation techniques.  Blood glucose management is at the core of what I do, although my approach is wholistic and always specifically tailored to the individual client and what they are looking to achieve.  My service includes meal planning, recipe suggestions, and supplement recommendations where relevant -always checking any interactions with any medications you might be on. I will sometimes recommend functional testing - blood/ stool/ urine/ breath tests as appropriate - and can help with the interpretation of your test results.

I have a strong interest in the psychology behind our eating behaviours, and have undertaken intensive additional training with the NCFED on psychological interventions for weight management and disordered eating. I am also currently training in Emotional Freedom Techniques – also known as tapping – and hope to obtain my practitioner status soon!

I bring my passion, commitment, years of experience and specialist training to help my clients achieve their overall health and weight management goals. I offer free telephone consultations to new clients, to discuss your concerns and how I can be of service.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a post graduate diploma in nutritional therapy from the College for Naturopathic Medicine. I am registered with BANT and CNHC.

I am committed to keeping up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and attend various industry seminars and conferences throughout the year. I am also a practicing Health Coach on the NHS National Diabetes Prevention Programme - a diet and lifestyle programme designed to help lower blood glucose in prediabetics.
