About me

I have always had a keen interest in the link between nutrition and health. I trained firstly as a Dietitian and and worked both in hospital medicine and in General practice.  In 2006 I studied Nutritional therapy for 3 years to gain a better understanding of how nutrition can help restore health to individuals suffering from chronic illness.

Since 2010 I have worked at the Woodbridge Complementary health Centre seeing a variety of clients.

Nutritional medicine is about restoring health by making changes to a person's diet and using vitamin, mineral, essential oil and herbal supplements to help bring about healing.

We are genetically unique and this naturally leads to differences in how our digestion, hormonal and metabolic processes work.  Nutritional therapy takes this into account and during a consultation clients are asked questions about their health and diet to help understand which diet might be the most beneficial for them.

Tests can help to identify imbalances. I use a food intolerance blood test within the clinic setting and the results are processed during the consultation.

Other tests including stool tests, hair mineral analysis, detailed thyroid profiles, measurement of omega 3 fatty acids and cortisol saliva can be arranged through external laboratories.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
