About me

I am a registered Nutritional Therapist and health coach, specialising helping men and women gain control over their health, reclaim their energy and improve their digestion and ditch the fad diets.  Maybe you have longstanding gut issues or your hormones are not in harmony.   I support clients in the UK and Europe so they can achieve optimal health and wellness using nutrition,  life style and functional lab testing.

I use food as medicine and evidenced based advice to give you the power to change your life and your health and help you reach long term results. Sometimes I will use functional testing to assess any imbalances that you may have.  Maybe you want to lose weight, control cravings or you have been told by your doctor that you need medication but you’d prefer to avoid it – or had a diagnosis you want to address.

Trained in Functional Medicine and Naturopathic Principles, I focus on getting to the root cause of your health concerns and helping you to improve how you feel through food and lifestyle changes.

Just a few changes to your diet could help a wide range of conditions such as weight management, fatigue and low energy. As one of my clients said:

"After years of inexplicable health issues which became impossibly frequent a few months ago, Elisabeth put me on a wellness plan that has cleared my problem completely. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and experienced, she also really cares for her clients. I received all the nutritional information I needed to get well naturally plus recipes and tips about excellent supplements and their suppliers. I felt and continue to feel well-supported to be healthy and stay that way. Highly recommended."
Irene S.- Educational Consultant

I work a lot with issues related to hormonal health, PMS, menstrual cycle, 'hormonal' skin, fertility, thyroid health and particularly how to support your family including teenage health and with neurological issues.

A lot of my clients come to see me for issues related to digestion that they just can't resolve and together we will work on plan that suits you and your life style. Issues such as bloated stomach, cramping and acid reflux are very common and their doctor has not been able to support them or explain the reasons behind.

As I am a parent myself I totally get the stress/concerns about feeding a family and also looking after yourself and the consequences when it doesn't work.  Working with me can reassure you going forward and feeling confident, not confused, with looking after your family's health.

Weight loss - A lot of clients ask me about weight loss and this is something I can support by getting you back to balance, energised and with a restored vitality.   When you get healthy, weight loss will follow.

Blood sugar balance - This is key if you want to have more energy, less brainfog, better sleep and happier and more stable moods. I will teach you how to manage this and include lots of delicious simple recipes.

I am continually questioning and researching current guidelines and things that are 'accepted wisdom' to the benefit of my clients to help you understand how your body functions optimally and take charge of your health and well being.

After years of study I have realised that what you read in the media about health is very much far from the truth. My clients leave with more choice, not less and are amazed at the food choices that I give them and how much better they feel by eating them.

My clients are committed to the process, open minded and willing to take on change.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is based on a Functional Medicine framework, which addresses the underlying causes of disease by treating the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. The framework uses a personalised approach that empowers patients to take an active role in their own health, and offers a powerful clinical model for assessment, treatment and prevention of chronic disease.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed a three year course at College of Naturopathic Medicine that includes 200 hours of clinical practice, the highest amount to any accredited diploma. I also completed a six month course in Biochemistry at ION.

I have also completed an in-depth training about Hair Mineral analysis. This test is very useful to get a clear picture of health and it is also used to measure the levels of heavy metals in the body. Heavy metals are linked to many health issues including auto immune conditions.

I am registered and regulated by The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT); and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

I contribute to publications writing on health, wellbeing and mindfulness.

I am also the author of two books

The Lagom life published in July 2017 by CICO Books

The book of Nordic Selfcare published in 2023 by Ryland Peters and Small

I'm originally from Sweden but now have made London my home where I live with my family, our dog and cat.

Testimonials

"I liked Elisabeth’s holistic approach and especially the emphasis placed on dietary and lifestyle changes which felt healthy and manageable. Elisabeth explained the reasons for changing diet well which meant making changes was easier. I already had quite a healthy diet but have added foods which I enjoy eating and feel are doing me good. She sent me some recipes which have helped me put the changes into practice. I was comfortable with the supplements which felt they supported the diet rather than taking the place of real changes. The lifestyle recommendations were helpful too. Finally someone has given me permission to rest when I’m tired"

Caroline. S - Food writer

'My gastritis is happening less and is less severe so I'm definitely heading in the right direction and it's been great to finally get some guidance that has made a difference. Finally feeling 'normal' for a good few days each week has been amazing!! I didn't realise how unwell I was constantly feeling as I couldn't remember what feeling good was like!!

I would highly recommend Elisabeth. She's down to earth, practical and gives realistic eating guidance and great follow up support'
