About us

Here at Plymouth Holistic Nutrition, I specialise in a person-centred, naturopathic approach to health and wellbeing. The main focus is on identifying and addressing the root causes of ailments, rather than merely treating symptoms.

For lasting recovery, we must dig deeper.

So whether you are struggling with weight-loss, digestive health, sleep issues, joint pain, hormonal imbalance e.g. perimenopause, or just want to get healthier, diet and lifestyle are just two amazing tools you have got at your disposal to get your health back on track!

Having personally started a journey as a holistic health and nutrition adviser in 2018, I have since been successfully supporting others in optimising health and wellbeing through natural remedies, beneficial dietary and lifestyle changes.

How do I benefit from Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach that promotes health through healthy diets and lifestyle changes. It can be invaluable in supporting you towards a specific goal e.g. weight loss, managing a chronic health condition e.g. blood sugar issues - alongside medicinal support - or helping you to make healthy habits that will support long and healthy life.

Here are some notable benefits of nutritional therapy I offer in my practice:

1.       Adopting a healthy diet and lifestyle, as suggested by nutritional therapy, is often associated with a lower risk of various diseases. Prevention is better than cure!

2.       Weight management: It can assist in maintaining a healthy weight, which is crucial for overall health.

3.       Gut health: A balanced diet can support gut health, leading to better digestion and absorption of nutrients, which is prerequisite to good health

4.       Energy enhancement: Proper nutrition can boost energy levels, supporting productivity and overall quality of life.

5.       Mental health support: Certain nutrients play a significant role in cognition and can support mental health.

6.       Hormonal balance: Nutrition can influence hormone production and balance, affecting various bodily functions.

7.       Digestive health support: Nutritional therapy can help manage symptoms of various digestive complaints, such as acid reflux, bloating etc.

In addition to these, nutritional therapy can also contribute to better sleep, balanced imune system, glowing and healthy skin; it may also support your ability to recover and rebound from challenges of modern life!

It’s important to remember that the benefits can vary from person to person, as everyone’s body and nutritional needs are unique!

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Further information

Do you recall the tale of the three little pigs and their houses made of different materials? The durability and resistance of each house against the wolf's blows were determined by the materials used. The ones made of straw and sticks were easily destroyed, while the house made of bricks survived even the wolf's strongest attempts.

This story serves as a metaphor for our bodies and health. Consuming nutrient-deficient and heavily processed foods weakens our bodies and reduces their resilience against harmful environmental factors like toxins, stress, and pathogens. Conversely, building our bodies on wholesome and real food fortifies our health and enhances our resistance against life's toughest challenges....

I welcome any questions, and I look forward to speaking with you.
