About me

Ready to optimise your gut health and start loving life again?

Do any of these sound familiar.....?

  • You know your body wasn't always like this; you used to be able to eat your favourite foods without the never-ending gastrointestinal symptoms.
  • You're told 'it's in your head', ‘try the low FODMAP diet', 'take a laxative' but deep down you know there has to be a reason for this change.
  • You feel frustrated, helpless, embarrassed, fearful of food or being caught short and nervous at social events.
  • You've spent soooo much time (googling for answers), money and energy.  This is on top of all the many unpredictable symptoms you feel daily....bloating, loose bowels / difficulty emptying your bowels (or both), belching, abdominal pain and not to mention the brain fog, fatigue and fluctuating moods.
  • You're starting to lose hope and have forgotten how it would feel not to look 6 months pregnant after eating.
  • Ultimately, life is feeling like a struggle as your symptoms take over and govern what you eat, wear and how you exercise and socialise. Your relationships are suffering and you place things on hold as you search for that 'magic pill'.

The good and bad news is....

I'm afraid I can't offer that magic pill or quick fix, but I can empower you to feel more in control of your gut health so you can trust your tummy and start enjoying life, relationships and most importantly, food again.

I specialise in supporting women struggling with never-ending gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating, loose bowels or difficulty emptying their bowels, excess gas, as well as low energy, poor focus, brain fog and conditions relating to gut irritation.

Unlike the conventional 'band-aid' approach to treating symptoms, I focus on their underlying root cause(s) and work holistically to provide the body with the tools it needs to rebalance, in order to restore optimal health and wellbeing. In 1:1 sessions we’ll work collaboratively, using a functional medicine approach and I’ll draw upon evidence-based research (and clinical testing if appropriate) to build a personalised health optimisation plan incorporating nutrition, targeted supplements (if required), lifestyle and often environmental factors.

Given the links between gut health and a wide range of conditions, I don’t just see clients with digestion-related health issues, so please do get in touch if you have another condition you would like to discuss.

I've been where you are

Following a personal journey with chronic digestion issues, I've been where you are, feeling frustrated, bloated and exhausted and like every day is a struggle. I then discovered nutritional therapy and started investigating the true cause of my health issues and discovered how my symptoms were connected to more than just food. I am therefore passionate about all things gut health and truly believe no woman should put up with digestion-related symptoms, which are frightfully common but by no means normal. I'm a big advocate of real food as well as spending time in nature and its remarkable health benefits.

Schedule a free 15 minute discovery call to discuss your gastrointestinal symptoms. We'll talk about whether we’re a good fit and your health concerns too. Book your free chat now to get started

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I studied for three years and continue to enhance and build on this learning through continued professional development (CPD) to ensure I stay up to date with all the latest research in this ever changing field.

I am registered with the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and am regulated and governed by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). My practice is insured through Balens.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Additional information

In my experience 'one off' consultations aren't effective, especially with conditions that haven't developed over night, as they don't provide sufficient time to really address the root cause of issues, re-balance and implement lasting changes. I therefore offer 3 bespoke programmes (virtually and face to face in Redruth) dependent on the level of support required. Prices start from £320 for a 3 consult programme. For further details on what my programmes include please refer to my website.

Further information

I work with clients online or face to face at the Cornish Therapy Centre in Cornwall. There is also an option to book an appointment at a therapy centre in Falmouth.
