About me
Frances McDonnell (BSc, DipHyp, NgC, mBANT, mCNHC) is a UK Registered Nutritional Therapist, Health Coach, and Clinical Hypnotherapist and founder of Frances For Nutrition. She provides Bespoke Nutrition for Digestive Health. Frances consults with clients across the UK, Ireland, America, and Canada, specialising in helping busy men and women understand gut issues, manage autoimmune conditions, and navigate the physical changes of mid-life.
Frances knows firsthand that balancing a busy life with shifting hormones, high stress, and a slowing metabolism takes a massive toll on the body. For men and women, unpredictable digestion, bloating, acid reflux, brain fog, and exhaustion aren't just uncomfortable—they get in the way of living and working at your best.
A major pillar of Frances’s practice is her personalised nutrition protocols which consider your genetics, gut bacteria, eating habits, dietary preference, weight, lifestyle and stress levels or a combination of these. She provides specialised support for those struggling with persistent acid reflux, moving beyond simply masking symptoms to help clients achieve lasting comfort. By using a comprehensive, investigative approach to each client's unique digestive patterns and lifestyle, Frances looks at food intolerances and other triggers contributing to gut challenges without the guesswork.
All clients gain access to science-backed functional testing, including comprehensive stool test analysis, to assess the condition of the microbiome. Her personalised nutrition protocols focus on calming irritation and strengthening the natural digestive rhythm, offering a clear, science-backed path toward sustainable digestive health.
Furthermore, because digestion is so deeply connected to our mental well-being, Frances draws on her background as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. This allows her to actively support the gut-brain axis, helping high-performing professionals manage stress, regulate their nervous systems, and build habits that easily fit into busy schedules.
Fully registered with BANT and the CNHC, Frances is committed to safe, evidence-based care. For any professional feeling held back by their health, she provides a warm, empathetic, and data-driven roadmap to feeling like yourself again.
