About me
Using a combination of Nutritional Therapy and Herbal Medicine whilst working within the framework of Functional Medicine means that rather than treating a set of symptoms, I prefer to look at the person as a whole, trying to find and resolve the root of a problem. I strongly believe in a realistic, easy-to-follow and evidence-based approach as the best way forward.
My area of special interest is women’s health, especially hormonal imbalances, stress-related issues, mental wellbeing and gut health. In order to make long-lasting changes for long-term health it is important to get to the bottom of what is driving your imbalances.
Leading a busy life with family and work, I know what it’s like to deal with the challenges this brings; trying to keep up with endless to-do lists, whilst also wanting to look after yourself and eat well at the same time. I will always take your circumstances and budget into consideration when working on a protocol so that this is achievable and suitable for creating long-term healthy habits.

Further information
Good nutrition is the foundation for feeling well, happy and strong. Combined with an active lifestyle and stress management, healthy eating habits are the best way to improve overall health and wellbeing. Eating well can help to improve energy levels, hormone balance, digestion, physical fitness and much more.
Herbal Medicine can be a great addition to any natural health protocol as it is a very safe therapy, suitable for all ages and can be tailored to individual needs. Using tinctures, teas, creams or lotions, Herbal Medicine can be used on its own or if appropriate alongside orthodox medication.
A qualified Medical Herbalist and Nutritionist will always check for herb-drug interactions and find the best therapeutic dosage, based on current research as well as anecdotal evidence and will always monitor for signs of serious pathology and refer to a medical professional accordingly.
What to expect
The initial consultation takes approximately 75 minutes and includes the following:
- Detailed medical history and information about lifestyle, general wellbeing as well as past and current medication
- Evaluation of three-day diet diary
- Discussion of short-term and long-term goals
- Discussion of most appropriate treatment package
Within 48 hours of the appointment, you will receive:
- Individually tailored naturopathic nutrition plan with easy to follow, specific dietary advice
- Individually tailored Herbal Medicine prescription if appropriate. The herbs are dispensed by me and cost approximately £8 per week.
- Recommendations for nutritional supplements if appropriate. These will be sourced externally either by you or me.
- Recommendations for testing if appropriate.
Everybody has different requirements depending on their health condition and goals. Therefore the best plan for follow-up appointments will be discussed and priced individually. However, usually at least 2 follow-up appointments are required to give you the best support in achieving your goals and tracking your progress. A higher level of support is also available in the form of regular email contact or short telephone calls.
