About me

Hi, I am Kerry, a registered Nutritional Therapist in Manchester. I trained for 3 years and qualified from CNM, and subsequently began practising as a nutritional therapist at Kerry Leigh Nutrition.

  • Have you had gall bladder surgery and noticed your digestion has gone haywire since?
  • Suffering daily with poor digestion, urgency, or unwanted bowel changes?
  • Fed up of feeling bloated, sluggish or lacking energy?
  • Need support with healthy eating, or just a balanced diet overhaul?

I know exactly how you feel and I'm here for you!
My journey began in 2007 when I was only 17 years old. I started getting severe pain in my abdomen every few months, which became more frequent over the course of a year.  After a few misdiagnoses it was clear I had gallstones and needed surgery to remove my gall bladder, and during this they discovered I also had pancreatitis. The years following surgery were filled with a number of concerns; I'm talking daily urgent toilet trips and complete lack of energy due to poor digestion.  I lived my life thinking "this is what my life is going to be like without a gallbladder" for years. Then, along came 2013 when I began getting even more debilitating stomach pains. This time I had gastritis, and this is when I finally discovered the power of nutrition! By working with my own nutritional therapist over several months and discovering the nutritional needs my body thrives off without a gallbladder, the passion I have for nutritional therapy sparked.

I am very interested in digestion and gut health and love to help clients to rescue their digestion, and also have a keen interest in gallbladder surgery support. Additionally I love supporting clients to simply discover the benefits of healthy eating for their body & health status.

What Do I Offer?
I support clients on a 1-to-1 basis and offer 3 different packages which all include 1 initial consultation (90 minutes) and vary in the amount of follow-up consultations (30-45 minutes):

  • REFRESH 6 week package- great for those with overall good health but with niggly issues and symptoms. [1 initial, 2 follow-ups]
  • RECHARGE 3 month package- a good fit for those who have been suffering with an issue/a couple of concerns for several months. [1 initial, 4 follow-ups]
  • REVIVE 6 month package- best suited to those with a variety of chronic issues or long-term health problems which really get in the way of every day life. [1 initial, 8 follow-ups]
(Note that the length of times of the above can be extended to suit your needs & life demands).

Every client has email support throughout their care with me so that any queries or concerns can be addressed and so I can check in regularly- we are a team and teams need ongoing support!

How Do I Work?
I believe in getting to know each client individually and finding the root causes of their problems,. Each person is unique, which means we all have different triggers and drivers of our health issues and therefore need a different approach to health and wellness!

I offer a FREE discovery call! This is perfect if you are interested in nutritional therapy for health and would like to find out more information. TESTIMONIALS

"I saw Kerry in clinic.  Kerry's listening abut my stomach issues made me feel at ease, her advice and guidance on nutrition was greatly received and the nutritional programme was a delight to follow. There was no pressure to address every suggestion, but to follow what I could in small blocks. I use Kerry's advice every day and it has had a massive impact on mt every day living. I'm so very grateful!"- T.B

"Kerry you have been so helpful in helping me change my own thought about feeding my body thoughtfully and caring about what I eat. Overall I have felt and continue to feel a lot better, all the information has enabled me to make wiser food choices and my sleeping has improved. Having been quite sceptical about a nutritionist I can honestly say it was one of the best services I invested in for myself, the whole process is personalised and tailor made for my own needs, I would highly recommend this!"- L.R

"I went to see Kerry as I was struggling with lack of energy after exercise and lack of sleep plagued me every night. Kerry helped me to think about what I needed to eat and also how much, and I was delighted to hear I could eat a bit more than I was! Eating the right foods at the right times made all the difference. I managed to gain so much more fitness and my sleep is much improved.  Fantastic results, thank you!"- E.K

"I can completely recommend Kerry.  She helped me to redress the balance of my food/nutrition so as to aid my body to overcome the many symptoms I was suffering with. Kerry always dealt with me in a very kind and professional manner; she was efficient yet calming in her approach. I saw an initial positive change within the first week and then other changes followed as I stuck to the advice.  Thank you so much for all your help Kerry!"- J.L

"Kerry is the best form of self-care! She has helped me to truly understand how my body works and how I can help to manage my problems by eating mindfully, identifying triggers and listening to my body. I felt listened to and as though I could ask anything, she was very professional and delivery of the health plans was really prompt. I have seen massive improvements in my symptoms and I now feel confident in knowing that if I do have a flare up I have the tools to put into place to give my body what it needs, and what it definitely doesn't!"- E.D
