About me

Have you tried several different approaches to lose weight, only to find that they work for a while and then stop? Or perhaps you simply can't lose the fat that has accumulated around your waist?

With so much conflicting nutrition advice, it can be difficult to know what is actually right for YOU.

I’m a nutritionist who helps men and women lose stubborn weight, improve energy and build healthier habits through personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

I don’t prescribe just another diet.

My approach is based on The Four I’s™:

-> Investigate - your health story, food diary, lifestyle, goals & genetic factors.
-> Interpret - what these sources tell us when considered together.
-> Individualise - building your bespoke nutrition and lifestyle plan.
-> Implement - support to put the strategy into practice and overcome challenges.

I promote eating whole real foods, personalised nutrition and, where appropriate, intermittent fasting.

I have 30 years of personal experience following a low-carb, whole-food lifestyle and five years of working with clients 1:1 through Nutrition by Gosh.

I have my own results too. By using simple, natural strategies, I significantly improved my assessed metabolic age - an approach I now teach my clients. At 63, my metabolic age was recently assessed as comparable to that of a 45-year-old.

I’m also interested in biohacking and practical healthy ageing strategies, and I enjoy translating nutrition science into changes people can actually use in everyday life.

My goal is simple: to help you understand what works for your body, rather than keep trying what works for someone else.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University. I hold a PhD in Health Policy Improvement where I studied the epidemiology of colorectal cancer in New Zealand. I also hold a MS.c in Quantitative Methods for Health Research from Lancaster University in the UK which gives me ability to understand research and to understand which scientific evidence is important to apply in my practice for the best benefits of my clients.

I am the founder of Nutrition by Gosh, where from May 2022 I provide online personalised nutrition advice. I enjoy interactions with my clients so I provide free to attend session such as 14-Day Weight-Loss Challenges, and interactions via short Lives and videos.

I am an Associate for Public Health Collaboration, a  UK charity dedicated to help people to improve their health.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Additional information

My services are bespoke and are fully adapted to the individual client's needs and requirements. My fees depend on the mode of working (online, face-to-face or client's home), the amount of one-on-one support needed, and the time required to achieve the health goals. But prices starts from £75 per online consultancy session.

When I work

In general, I work from Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm. However, if it is important I offer Saturday and after office hours sessions.

Further information

While studying I worked under supervision with a wide range of individuals from very different ethnic groups. This gave me understanding of the differences which we have to appreciate when working with individuals.

I constantly expand my knowledge by taking parts in real-life conferences and also several online events and conferences.

I have been an active member of the Nutrition Societies in the UK and in New Zealand.

Currently, I am completing a certification with Nordic Laboratories to provide testing in my practise.
