About me

I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and a member of the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine.

I work with clients who often feel stressed and tired, can’t perform to their best, experience disturbed sleep, and want to improve their gut health. I have a special interest in how your nutritional status can affect your mental health and stress.

Having experience as a Lead clinical pharmacist for a NHS primary care network brings many skills and broad clinical experience to my nutritional therapy practice, which enables me to combine an evidence-based approach with my clinical knowledge.

I work closely with my clients to achieve the best outcome by investigating the root cause of conditions. This enables me to support the body systems under strain and as a result, alleviate symptoms. I aim to illustrate the possible links between your symptoms, the food you are eating, and your lifestyle. I also discuss the medication the clients are on and make suggestions for changes, if I believe this will benefit the client.

I work with my patients holistically and like to explore their main concerns and discuss options to improve their health, being this by medication changes or improving their lifestyle.

In my private clinical practice, I offer a one-to-one health consultation resulting in a nutritional/lifestyle programme tailor-made to fit the needs of each client. Through an in-depth case history, we will identify the likely triggers and underlying drivers of whatever symptoms you may be experiencing, and then establish a plan through which these can be addressed.

If you would like to work with me:

My aim is always to look and listen to what you and your body are telling me and to then suggest long-term sustainable lifestyle and dietary changes. This might include the use of supplements where indicated, and occasionally some testing may be necessary to provide further information for a well-targeted plan. We would work together to establish a nutritional plan that works with your preferences, busy schedule, external demands, or any medical plan you might be following. This will allow you to get a better understanding of your health and well-being going forward.

Following many years in a conventional medical setting, I strongly believe that the key to good health lies in a preventative and holistic approach. This is the basis of Functional Medicine, which looks at the body as a whole, views each individual as absolutely unique, focuses on the root of illness rather than just the symptoms, and in which nutrition plays an essential role.
