About me

Jen Adams is a metabolic health coach who specialises in helping men and women over the age of 40 lose weight. She does this through education and coaching, helping them to reset their metabolic pathways and boost their metabolism so they can lose weight long-term.

Jen focuses on helping her clients restore their metabolic health as this is the most efficient way to lose weight as you get older. Her step-by-step coaching method is based on three principles – balancing blood sugar hormones, cleansing the liver and improve the gut flora in order to train your body to start burning fat effectively again.

Her Metabolic Balance® diet plan is a personalised nutrition programme that uses individual biochemistry based on a blood test to determine what food works best for you. Metabolic Balance® uses certain principles to reset your hormone levels, particularly insulin, in order to regulate the storage of fat. It’s not based on calorie content or percentage of fats, carbs and proteins – instead it’s based directly on how certain foods affect your hormones and any specific nutrients you’re lacking.
