About me

Hi, I'm Janie, a Nutritional Therapist specialising in sports nutrition and weight management.

Sports Nutrition

I know the importance of fuelling well to train and race optimally. I've run 20 marathons and recently achieved my Six Star Finisher Medal, completing a 25-year journey from the London Marathon 1998 to Boston 2024 taking in New York, Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo and New York along the way. I know how easy it is to get it wrong. But, through advanced professional training and my own extensive personal experience, I know how easy it is to get it right. Sometimes only a few simple tweaks is all it takes.

If you decide to work with me, I'll analyse your diet and recommend the right balance of macronutrients (carbs, protein and healthy fats) for you, your body and your lifestyle. I'm big on recommending 'marginal gains' to give you the edge, following up-to-date research and natural foods and/or supplements to enhance performance.

I love helping clients reach their goals in optimum health, and it doesn't matter what level you are. I work with anyone. It doesn't matter if you are an enthusiastic amateur or a GB athlete.

Weight Management

I'm passionate about helping people eat better to feel better and reach their goals. I'm not about faddy diets or deprivation. I'm all about eating regularly and often. It's all about the right foods, at the right time, in the right amounts for you.

I provide simple plans that are unique to your needs and lifestyle. I aim to inspire all my clients to find a way of eating that fits around their (often busy) lives but is also evidenced based to reach their goals. Having struggled with my weight in my twenties, I know what it feels like and I know what works and what doesn't. I offer long-term, sustainable changes that work.

One size does not fit all - you can expect a personalised approach.

I work online and at Third Space Soho (London) and in a clinic in Sussex and offer flexible appointment times (including evenings).  So if you're interested in transforming the way you feel on the inside and outside and achieving your health and/or performance goals, please book your complimentary discovery call here. I'd love to have a chat with you.

Testimonials from my previous clients:

"I went to Janie to help with my fuelling for running and to help gain weight while carrying on my training. She has been nothing but amazing, supporting me in every area. She is contactable all the time and is always checking in with me! I am now enjoying my running more and have reached more goals than I would have done without her! My fuelling is so much better and my everyday moods and energy have improved massively, all thanks to her. Cannot recommend her enough. I can’t wait to see what other improvements we can make. Thank you Janie!" Katie

"I’ll be forever grateful to you Janie for your in-depth nutritional knowledge, experience and advice, which has revolutionised my diet and as a result, massively aided my training for my forthcoming marathon. I feel so much better in myself, both physically and mentally, and totally ready for the London Marathon. Thank you Janie" Louise E

"Janie really helped me to lose weight. I refused to do another diet and so decided I needed professional help. The 12 week plan helped me lose 10kg and, more importantly, has given me a sustainable way of continuing to eat healthily."  Paul

"'I’m so grateful for the help Janie gave me leading up to my first marathon. Our consultation was amazing and she went through so much depth to make a good plan leading up to the race. I stuck exactly to her plan and felt amazing on the day and throughout the marathon achieving a time of 3:35:27. I’m over the moon. Thank you Janie"   Alfie

"Thank you for your advice, enthusiasm and encouragement, all of which have had a positive impact on my diet and general wellbeing.  The changes you suggested have helped combat the constant feeling of exhaustion and I’m now feeling in much better shape for the London Marathon in April!"  Louise H

"I've struggled all my adult life with my weight. I've tried every diet under the sun and always gave up after six to eight weeks and gained the weight back and more. Janie helped me make sense of it all. She stabilised my blood sugar and supported me every step of the way, every day. I have consistently lost, even with two trips away.

My energy levels have soared and my sleep is deeper and longer. This is the best I have ever felt and the best money I have ever spent. I have lost those cravings, the ones that would drive to into eating anything and everything and ruin any earlier effort made. This was my last attempt at gaining control over food. I am so glad I gave Janie a try."  Colleen
