About me
Nutritional therapy can help you eat right for YOUR body
Everybody is unique, every body functions in a different way, reacts to nutrients differently and requires varying amounts of those nutrients - in short, you need the right diet for YOUR body.
At Personalised Nutrition we understand that everybody is different. We take the time necessary to understand your health issues, in order to be able to create your unique personalised nutrition plan based upon your body's specific needs.
I am a BANT registered nutritionist who chose to study nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) because I was attracted to their holistic and naturopathic focus. Naturopathy is a system of healthcare which aims to promote the body's own self healing mechanisms in order to establish optimum health. Rather than simply masking symptoms, a naturopathic practitioner aims to work with the person as a whole, addressing the root causes of their health issues in order to restore health and well being.
By taking the time to look at all aspects of your health in order to understand your health history, we can identify your individual needs and address those underlying imbalances.
An initial consultation will take around 90 minutes and before the consultation you will have received a detailed health and nutrition questionnaire to be completed and returned prior to the appointment for preliminary analysis.
During the initial consultation we then take the time to discuss your current health concerns, symptoms, diagnosis and any treatment, past medical history, family medical history, lifestyle and physical activity levels as well as your diet and use of medication and supplements
Following your consultation and the evaluation of your information, you will receive your personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan. This includes dietary advice, recipes and menu ideas and is specific for your individual needs but takes into account your lifestyle and food preferences . The plan may also include a recommendation for additional laboratory tests in order to gain a deeper and more accurate picture. Nutritional supplements may also be advised as part of your plan.
Email/telephone support is included in relation to the implementation of the plan.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
