About me

I've helped so many IBS sufferers and here's an extract from a recent review:
"I have just finished the elimination phase of the low FODMAP diet. I have been symptom free for weeks now. I have suffered with intolerances now for many, many years. Debra makes all this pain go away. Her process and explanations are a doddle to follow. Debra sends booklets for each phase which are produced by NHS experts. If you have IBS issues, talk to Debra. Simple."

So, if you have IBS, I can help you change your life too. My package to support you in your journey includes:
 - A free initial telephone consultation, for you to tell me about your IBS and to help us decide together whether the low FODMAP diet is right for you
 - Symptom evaluation and assessment of your current diet, so I can give you personalised advice and simplify the low FODMAP diet to fit into your lifestyle
 - Your 1st online session at a time that is convenient for you (including early evening and weekends, if that's better for you) to help you begin the first phase of the diet (~1 hour)

-Low FODMAP advice and the benefit of my experience that will help your IBS symptoms
 - More general diet advice, to ensure that your diet is healthy, however we will of course be concentrating on IBS relief
 - Advice and support between sessions, where I can offer encouragement and support
 - A 2nd online session to help you gain confidence for the reintroduction phase (~1 hour)
 - 3 x Information booklets to help you follow the low FODMAP diet and the all-important reintroduction process to help you identify your triggers
And a 3rd session to help you interpret your findings and help you incorporate changes into your diet and lifestyle (~ 1 hour)
So, let's book in a call to discuss how you can gain IBS relief.
You're not alone - we can do this together!

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a Registered Dietitian with the Health Care Professions Council, a member of the British Dietetic Association and a listed member of the BDA's Freelance Dietitians' Group.

As a Nutrition Consultant and Advanced Practitioner, I have over 20 years' experience of advising on a range of therapeutic diets. My main areas of expertise are digestive issues, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I am certified by King's College, London to deliver IBS treatment using the low FODMAP diet. This is an effective treatment for IBS symptoms and recommended by NICE and the NHS.

I am a multi-award winning Dietitian. I have a wealth of experience in helping those with IBS symptoms. I was a finalist in the NHS Wales Awards for my work in IBS treatment and I also won the MediWales Award for 'Innovation in the NHS' for my work with IBS and FODMAPs.  I am also 'Health Consultant of the Year' in Wales (2022).

Additional information

I offer a free initial telephone consultation to help us decide whether the low FODMAP diet will help your IBS symptoms.

If we agree that I can help, we can arrange an online consultation for advice and support. This will last an hour and can be via Zoom or WhatsApp. Usually only 3 sessions are necessary. But there's an optional 4th session if you need help.

Consultations for irritable bowel syndrome involve detailed instruction, guidance and support for IBS treatment using the low FODMAP diet. However, as part of your consultation and assessment, I am able to give more general advice about your diet, but the focus will be on improving your IBS symptoms.

My advice will be supported by some informative, useful booklets.

All consultations are online, so I can give my expert advice across the UK.
