Dr Lisa Gatenby, Registered Nutritionist
I am a Registered Nutritionist, with a PhD in Nutrient intakes and a Masters of Medical Science in Human Nutrition. I believe healthy eating really can change your life, get in touch for advice and help. Whether its general healthy eating and weight management advice or help with more specific issues such as weight-loss, digestion or controlling your blood sugar.
I have been approved as a Registered Nutritionist by the Association for Nutrition (the controlling body for Nutritionists). I started my career with a love of food and worked as a chef for 5 years and then in food development for 4 years before progressing into nutrition. I have been working in Nutrition for the last 10 years and as well as offering consultancy services I work at Leeds Trinity University (in Horsforth) as a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Food.
I offer one to one advice for individuals, nutrition training courses and consultancy to schools, government and companies.
I myself love food and as a qualified chef I fully understand everyone wants to eat great tasting food, the key is to ensure you take the right steps to ensure that your food is healthy and satisfying.
