About me
Hi, I'm Michelle and I'm a registered Nutritional Therapist with a background in personalised nutrition. I help clients achieve healthy, sustainable weight loss, address digestive health, blood sugar balance and more to help you achieve your health and wellness goals through nutrition.
I initially work on a diet plan with my clients, ensuring they are comfortable the plan works for their lifestyle. Blood sugar balance is a crucial element to any diet plan created to ensure satiety between meals and building sustainable long-term nutrition habits. I then have weekly follow ups for a minimum of 6 weeks to ensure comprehension of the diet plan, goals are being met and any amendments necessary are made together.
Having struggled with my own weight for years, I am passionate about the role nutrition can play in many facets of both physical and mental health.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Centre for Nutrition Education & Lifestyle Management (CNELM) where I obtained both my bachelors degree in Nutritional Science and my Nutritional Therapy Postgraduate Diploma. I then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Roehampton. I have seen clients privately for the past 4.5 years for a range of conditions.
I am also registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Member organisations
The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists. There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member. All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.
