About me

Compassionate support for emotional eaters, weight loss and women’s health

Hi. I’m Kate, a Association for Nutrition Registered Nutritionist and Coach.  I have many years of healthcare experience with a background in nursing and previous work as a Nutritionist in the NHS.  I offer nutritional advice and support for emotional eaters, weight loss, and womens health.

Have you ever thought to yourself:

I know what I should eat and want to eat, why can't I do it?!

You're not stuck due to a lack of willpower or because there's something wrong with you.

Yo-yo dieting and using weight as a measure of success are usually wrapped up in things we aren't aware of such as self-esteem, body image and self-blame.

What if:

Someone met you where you're at with your diet?
We can start a conversation about what is really important to you right now.

How a compassionate approach can work for you

Firstly, there are no rules to follow!

It works by using elements of behavioural and psychological therapy to:

  • Build trust and feel in control around food
  • Break unwanted nutritional habits
  • No more negative voices holding you back
  • Stop comparing yourself to others and accept yourself for who are
  • work in your body image concerns
  • Learn to respond to your own needs
  • Building resilience and adaptability to overcome setbacks and face challenges
  • Achieve your goals without compromising your health or well-being
  • Set realistic goals based on your values

This means that you can be gentle with yourself around your food and diet.

When you trust yourself around food, there is massive freedom in the joy of eating again!

It's not about simply eating or being healthy at the cost of everything else, it's about living your life!

I offer:

  • Individual advice,
  • Corporate well-being,
  • Content development and nutrition and health writing.

If you would like to work together then please get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed my MSc Nutrition with Public Health Management with Distinction and I am registered with the Association for Nutrition.

This means I meet their rigorous standards for scientifically sound evidence-based nutrition. I also have experience working with clients wishing to manage their weight, considering the physical, psychological and behavioural aspects of change to empower individuals to make long term changes to improve their health and wellbeing.

I have 13 years experience in nursing which gives me a solid base of healthcare experience.

I understand the challenges you may face when trying to improve your nutrition and lifestyle and apply the most up to date and accurate nutrition knowledge to ensure I am offering sound advice that is relevant to your life.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
