About me

Hello. Nice to meet you.

I am a fully qualified nutritional therapy practitioner based in South Manchester. I have clinical experience combined with a massive interest in skin and digestive health. I work with all ages from birth onwards and I often work with parents and their children. This means changes are seen within the whole family. I also provide online sessions and can work with anyone based in the UK, using a secure and well known platform.

''My son's skin is looking very healthy and scratching is down to a minimum. He has also been sleeping like a baby so I am happy to see the benefits of the work we have done thus far.'' Thank you RB (mum of 4 year old)

I will be offering groups sessions and in person events in the coming months. Follow me on my insta for more information.

I offer a complimentary discovery call to listen to your health and wellness goals and concerns. Here is the link to book: https://l.bttr.to/DwcRz

.............................................................................................................................................

Why Nutritional Therapy?  I decided to qualify as a nutritional therapy practitioner after I saw the difference in my own children's symptoms and happiness after seeing a practitioner. Our main gains include: improved skin issues, reduced infections, increased energy, more balanced mood, weight management and better quality of sleep.

What Is Nutritional Therapy? I look at your health history from preconception to present day alongside, what you currently eat and what goals you have. I then ask questions which allow me to identify which body systems need a little attention. From this I create a personalised plan that usually includes:

  • Nutrition gaps identified
  • Lifestyle suggestions and new habit formation
  • Evidence based supplement and food suggestions
  • Investigating root causes of symptoms

Functional Testing I am trained in identifying which tests are useful to get to the core of your unwanted symptoms. I pass on my full discount for these tests. I will interpret the results and create manageable suggestions to work on improvements. Examples of what tests I work with include:

  • Microbiome testing
  • Stool testing
  • Heavy metal testing
  • Nutrigenomics testing
  • Mould testing

What Is My Approach? I offer step by step suggestions and work closely with my clients. We are all busy and I know how easy it is to be overwhelmed! I offer creative advice on how to implement changes - as well as suggesting some recipes.

Where Do I Work From I work face to face from Cheadle, South Manchester. I see most of my clients online and can work with anyone in the U.K.

How Can You Book In With Me? I offer a complimentary discovery call to listen to your health and wellness goals and concerns. https://l.bttr.to/DwcRz

I look forward to chatting soon,

Gillian

Testimonials

Our son had been having bowel accidents for a couple of years, and struggled with urgency and really loose bowel movements. It was really affecting all of us, and although we’d identified a couple of foods that seemed to make things worse, we couldn’t seem to get a handle on it. Since we’ve been working with Gillian things have really improved. Gillian focused on improving our son’s gut health, advising us on supplements, helping us get more variety in his diet, and providing recipes and tips for getting young children to try new foods. It’s really benefited our whole family, as we’ve all been trying lots of new foods, and it’s been a lot of fun. Bowel accidents have dramatically reduced. When I think back to how things were just a few months ago it feels unbelievable that we’ve come this far! Thanks so much Gillian, you’ve helped make life a lot easier for all of us! HK (mum of 5 year old)

Gillian was so thorough! Really thoughtful and I feel like she took the time to go above and beyond with creating a plan for me. Gillian helped me connect the dots between my skin rash and gluten (that I had been ignoring) So grateful for the sessions I had with her. I really feel like they are. Set me off on a path of true health . LS

.........................................................................................................................................................

My experience with Gillian has been so positive. Gillian is warm and empathetic, she didn’t judge my excessive Pepsi max habit and completely understood my personal circumstances. I have had years of health conditions and have been through the various departments of the NHS, but no one has ever taken a holistic approach and connected how things impact on one another. I have had such improvement in all areas since my first appointment with Gillian. Gillian is highly knowledgeable and when challenged with something she wasn’t sure about, she went away and researched. I would highly recommend Gillian. JL

Gillian is passionate and knowledgeable in the world of child nutrition with lots of ideas on how to get your kids to eat and to learn why they may struggle. She will give you beautiful handouts with lots of information for you to try out. She was great to talk to in sessions. Thanks for your support! LBH (mum of 5 year old)

I contacted Gillian for advice and support in regards to healthy eating and nutrition for my daughters. She took a full assessment and not only gave advice but she helped me reframe how I approached food consumption for not only my kids but also for myself- breaking down years of bad advice I’d sucked in through modern day diet culture. I really recommend Gillian, she’s helped me gain a much clearer understanding of food from a nutritional perspective. KW (mum of 10 year old)
