About me

I love guiding people through the steps to take back control of their health. There’s a tendency to think ill health is merely the luck of the draw, and clearly there are many factors involved, but we do have influence over our own health. There are choices we can make and changes that can weight the odds in our favour. A valuable part of nutritional therapy is about educating people to make their own informed choices and often when I’ve explained to people what is at the core of their problems, many take the bull by the horns and grasp their new understanding to regain renewed health and wellbeing.

I work with people suffering with common health problems which can greatly impact on our health. There’s often a tendency to accept these as a normal part of ageing, but we don’t need to accept them as normal or inevitable, because there’s so much we can do to improve our health through food, by giving our bodies the ingredients they need to maintain good health and vitality. Where does your body need to regain balance? Would you like some guidance about digestion, supporting immunity, difficulty controlling blood sugar, recovery from illness or surgery, or low energy issues?

If you’d like me to work with you to address your concerns, I’ll analyse your diet and lifestyle habits and provide you with practical solutions in manageable steps, including menu plans and recipes planned especially for your individual needs and lifestyle, tying in with your time and cooking ability etc. Our consultation will allow time for you to talk about your health goals and address any particular aspects of change that may be worrying you. By listening to your story and putting all the pieces together, including details of your current diet, I draw on my extensive nutritional knowledge and experience to construct a strategy specific to your needs. Even when two people present the same types of symptoms, that doesn’t mean the root cause of their problem is the same, which is where personalised nutrition can be such a great help.

Please visit my website for more information and email me with any questions. You can also book a free discovery call if you wish so that you can decide whether you think nutritional therapy is the right path for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a Registered Nutritional Therapist, having qualified from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, with intensive clinical and science-based training. I’m a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and therefore work in accordance with their code of conduct and ethical practice. I have also completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice course through the Institute for Functional Medicine, which I found to be rewarding and stimulating, adding greater depth to my knowledge and practice, and even more enthusiasm for helping people to improve their nutrition for overall wellbeing.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Additional information

My price range covers a single session which is called the Diet & Health MOT as well as guided courses from 30 days through to 12 weeks, called Nutrition Support Programmes.

It can be difficult to make diet and lifestyle changes that may follow many years of ingrained habits or many years of ill health, and therefore I think you will find support during this period is very helpful. My nutrition support programmes are personalised to you and, from previous experience, I have found these to be by far the most successful. The 30-day support programme and 12-week support programme provide valuable guidance during the initial stages of implementing a new routine, including menu plans, recipes and recommendations on store cupboard staples to help you to get on track while you gain knowledge of what is right for you, so you can learn to make your own informed choices about what to eat to enhance your own good health. Please see my website for full details of what these programmes include. You can begin with 30 days and then upgrade to 2 months or 3 months if you wish.

The Diet & Health MOT is suitable for someone who is generally healthy but would like a diet review. For someone who likes to keep up with the latest nutrition advice but is unsure whether particular aspects are advisable for them. For someone who feels they’ve just lost their way and would like advice to point them in the right direction.

If you like you can upgrade from here to a support programme.

Additionally, I offer a one-hour follow-up session for £50 for those who have completed a course but would like a bit of further guidance. Please refer to my website for full details of what is included in all of these sessions.

Further information

I work in a wellbeing clinic as part of a professional and supportive team, and between us we have a wide expertise to help people on their path to wellness. I am a registered nutrition practitioner with a passion for delving into each individual’s health issues to find the root cause, discovering how to help the body regain balance. We are all different, needing different nutritional programmes and that is what makes personalised nutrition so interesting and so effective.

As well as face-to-face appointments in the wellbeing clinic, I also arrange Zoom consultations for those living further away. Additionally, I can organise home visits for those who may have mobility issues or difficulty in attending the clinic.
