Please find below the in depth schedule for the spring cleanse, sense of self workshop.

This workshop is a wonderful way to explore your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of your self!
10.00am – morning energiser with Peter
Peter, whose background as a dancer when he was a child and a martial artist as an adult, will get you ready for the day with some gentle but invigorating movements, stretching and breathing. Expect a fun and vibrant start to your personal 'spring cleanse' which will get you open, relaxed and refreshed.
10.35am – getting clear with Sarah
- Are you feeling overwhelmed with life at the moment?
- Do you need to find your focus?
- Are you looking for something but unsure as to what it is?
- Are you on a journey of self-recovery?
In this is section of the workshop Sarah will help you to go inwards, look at what you want from your life, and discover your priorities to find your focus. She will be sharing her life experience of finding focus and asking you thought provoking questions so you can ‘get clear’ and get on with enjoying this wonderful adventure we call life.
11.10pm – trance healing with Inma
Trance healing shares many of the qualities of Reiki, energy and spiritual healing, based on the idea of life force energy flowing through us. These are all forms of energy healing, where the energy is channelled and transfer from a higher source. The difference between them is how we connect to the energy and what we do with it when we are connected.
While working in trance we are blending energies with the higher source whether we call it a helper, guide, universal life… we are asking for the healing to come from the source other than our personal energy.
Inma will aim to work in a lighter state of awareness, allowing her spiritual helpers to blend with her while using her hands to bring the energy back, power and give information received. This can be both hands on or hands off while you are lying down. The intent is that we all get some insights and experience the benefits of what trance healing does to shake out any negative energy and restore you to a balanced wholeness.
Some of the experiences that people share after sessions include:
- pain reduction
- feeling of profound calmness
- a deeper connection with all that is
- clarity of thinking
- spiritual reconnection
- increased feeling of self-awareness
- feeling more balanced
- feelings of being able to let go and move on

12.30pm – break for lunch
13.00pm – Chinese five elements with Paula
Learn some of the basics of Chinese five element theory. How colour can be associated with mood, body parts and even the place where you live. Also learn a quick and easy method to reorganise your brain to improve concentration, help with heights and mirror imaging i.e. reversing your car whilst using your mirrors!
13.35pm – essential oils with Jan
Essential oils contain the essence of nature. Find out what exactly is in essential oils, how the complex substances work holistically to heal and balance body and mind. Plus, top tips to ensure you are using the purest, very best quality products. Jan will then talk about aromatherapy, the use of essential oils and how to get the best out of them.
Finally, Jan will demo a diffuser with a range of oils to smell, whilst giving recommendations to help ease common complaints.
14.10pm – nutrition talk with Kate
Spring is here and it’s the perfect time for a spring cleanse! Kate O’Riordan and Sara Thackeray are nutritional therapists who are passionate about cleansing the body for health. They have personal experience with detoxing to recover from chronic illness. Come and join their talk and learn how to use nutrition to cleanse the body.
During the talk you will learn:
- What are toxins?
- Where do they come from?
- Benefits of cleansing your body.
- Alkalising the body for health.
- Cleansing menu plan.
- Foods and supplements to support detoxification.
- Other ways to cleanse.
- Testing to measure your toxicity levels.
14.45pm – meditation and relaxation with Peter
Providing a space to process and reflect on the day's experiences, Peter will initially guide you through some calming breathing and visualisations. Then once you are relaxed seated or lying down, he will lead a meditation to clear the mind and body encouraging you to dump the rubbish and emerge a shiny new you...
15.15pm – 16.15pm
The last hour of the workshop is a chance to discuss anything you have experienced or question the Elements team on a holistic aspect that may not have been covered in the day.
Plus, we are offering 20 minute treatments within this time from the list below (these must be pre-booked and only one treatment per person).

About the host
The workshop is hosted by the Elements Centre who are a team of independent holistic therapists offering alternative and complementary services to the local community at affordable prices. They are open fortnightly on a Saturday between 10am and 3pm. They are based in the Loft at The Hawth in Crawley.
