About me

My area of interest is gut and digestive health. I am both a medical doctor and a registered nutritional therapist. During my 27 years as an NHS GP, I have worked with many people to improve their gut and digestive health, and have witnessed firsthand their frustration when conventional medical approaches aren't improving symptoms. To improve these symptoms we need to address root causes and not simply treat symptoms. My approach is based on the foundational Functional Medicine principles of considering the specific impact of nutrition, lifestyle and environment on each individual's health. This personalised approach enables root causes of the individual's symptoms to be targeted.
