Nutritionist Resource notes increase in interest around menopause and nutrition
Nutritionist Resource has reported an increase in interest around content focused on menopause between June and September 2024.
The site has noted a 343% increase in interest in users reading information about the link between inflammation and menopause.
October is menopause awareness month according to Macmillian Cancer Support. The awareness month aims to increase awareness around menopause and help those going through menopause now or in the future to plan.
Nutritionist Resource lists almost 500 nutritionists from across the UK who say they can help clients with nutrition advice related to perimenopause and menopause.
One of the areas most studied around menopause and diet is Phytoestrogen according to Nutritionist Resource therapist, Anita Beardsley. Anita shares more about this on the Nutritionist Resource Menopause information page:
“Phytoestrogens are possibly the most studied food in relation to menopause. They are plant-based chemicals that mimic oestrogen, and they are found in many foods such as soya, lentils, flaxseed... and some herbs and spices (sage, cinnamon, etc).”
Nutritionists can also provide advice and support on nutrition surrounding the other areas that menopause can impact, including sleep and mood.
If you are interested in finding out more about nutrition and menopause, Nutritional therapist, Zannie Krogh, explains the role nutrition plays in navigating menopause, including the benefits of working with a professional and how eating the right diet can ease symptoms.
