Training, qualifications & experience

With over 30 years in the pharmacy sector, I've transformed my career to become a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Health Coach.

However, even with my extensive pharmacy experience, I found myself wholly unprepared for the profound impact of hormonal fluctuations that often accompany midlife. My personal encounter with these challenges, coupled with the hurdles I faced seeking precise information, diagnosis and support, ignited my passion for further education in this domain.

My specialisation lies in supporting individuals facing the complexities of POI, having witnessed the monumental challenges that this diagnosis brings.

I assist in addressing challenges such as hot flushes, weight gain, mood swings, and sleep issues at whatever age they occur. All while crafting enduring strategies that last well beyond this stage.

My method? A blend of humour, optimism, and insightful investigation. I tailor solutions that align with each woman's distinctive goals and circumstances.

I have attended many BMS courses, including their CBT training to help manage hot flushes. I am a registered Buteyko breathing instructor.

I have also completed a Leith Nutrition in Culinary Practice course and have completed several Institute of Functional Medicine Courses, including AFMCP and their hormone module course.

It is perfectly possible to regain control of your life, no matter how impossible a feat that may seem.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
