About me
Hey, I'm Shannon. I'm so glad you found me. I help people with a difficult relationship with food recover.
I'm the founder and lead clinician of Ease Nutrition Therapy - a virtual disordered eating recovery clinic.
It's a really big step to think about reaching out for support, so thank you for coming to my page to take a read. I hope my profile might inspire you to reach or to me or another eating disorder/disordered eating nutritionist.
My approach
I'm a dual-qualified nutritionist and counsellor.
My number one role is to empower you to make decisions about your health & offer you recommendations. I help people recover their relationship with food through a collaborative approach, which means I value you and what you feel ready for. I never push you beyond anything you're comfortable with, and I hope you feel supported and safe when working with me.
Recovering from an eating disorder or disordered eating is not a quick fix. And I think you already know that.
We will work together to not only help you recover but help you develop your own relationship with food. One that fits your values, and your own personal philosophy, and ultimately transforms how you feel/think/act with food into something beyond your wildest dreams!
You are the expert of your own health - whilst I am the nutritionist with knowledge and experience in helping people with recovery, you are in the driving seat.
You might be thinking "but I need you to tell me what to do!" and sometimes, that might be true. Some sessions I might be driving the car more, but ultimately you're the one with the map.
You have the inner wisdom in you to heal- it's my job to help pull that out.
I am trained in lots of approaches to help my clients with disordered eating. Including therapy and counselling techniques - CBT-E, acceptance and commitment therapy, and DBT. Non-Diet Approaches, including Intuitive Eating and health At Every Size (HAES).
Do you read any of these and thinks "that's me!"?
- I wish I could just be healthy.
- I'm addicted to processed foods.
- I've tried to recover on my own, it just doesn't work. I need 1-1 support.
- I'm fed up of being on this restrict then binge cycle.
- I wish I could cope better without controlling food.
- I start off the day really well, then by the end I feel so obsessed with food.
- I have a long list of foods I avoid, but I don't even know if I actually need to.
- I can't remember a time I've felt comfortable in my body - I've been in a losing battle with my body and food for a long time.
- I've lost my period and I don't know how to get it back
- I don't know what I need, but I know I need something - I can't keep living like this.
What support with me looks like
I help a whole range of people:
- Eating disorder recovery, including binge eating disorder, bulimi nervosa or purging disorders, OSFED, UFED, and anorexianervosa.
- Disordered eating support including restriction, fear foods, emotional eating, binge eating, over-exercise, poor body image, body dislike.
- Hypothalamic amenorrhea recovery
- Ditch dieting using the principles of Intuitive Eating. Learn to eat with intention, make peace with all foods, relearn how to eat, and feel connected to your body. You will learn to connect with hunger and fullness signals, take care of your body and mind, and ultimately find a sustainable approach to eating that doesn't drive you wild.

info Information about health conditions (*)
Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
Fees
£50.00 - £110.00
Additional information
Fees
We recommend weekly support which will reduce as the need for support reduces.
You can book an initial Clarity Call - this acts as an assessment to ensure we're a good fit. This costs £50 for 30-minutes. After this, all future appointments are £110 and are 50-minutes long.
How often will we meet?
Most of my clients meet with me once per week. Then we reduce this over time. For eating disorder recovery or "severe" disordered eating, I would not recommend any less than 3 appointments per month to begin with.

Sorrry, I don't offer evening appointments. My usual working hours are 10am to 3pm (last appointment starts at 3pm)
Further information
I only work with those with eating disorder, disordered eating, and those looking for Intuitive Eating support. I do not work with people looking for general nutrition advice, unless that comes up in our work together during healing their relationship to food. If you inquire about general nutrition I am unlikely to have availability to support you.
Please note: The support I offer is personalised and longer term than you might be looking for. I don't tend to work with people for less than 3 months, I am no magic maker!
I'm active on social media! @ease_nutritiontherapy is where you will me on Instagram.
