About us
Hi, I’m Michelle, a registered Associate Nutritionist based in Cardiff. I have a scientific background and a passion for food, I strongly believe in the concept of food as medicine and the enormous positive impact diet can have on your quality of life.
Being a registered nutritionist means that I am regulated by a professional body and work according to a strict code of ethics that promotes evidence-based nutritional advice and continuous professional development, ensuring the advice I give is current and trustworthy. I can help you make sense of the ever-changing, confusing and often unreliable stream of nutritional advice we are regularly exposed to.
My approach involves supporting and empowering you to make meaningful changes to your diet and health, I do this by first assessing your individual needs, identifying goals and creating a plan that works for your unique lifestyle without unnecessary restrictions. Your progress will be monitored, and short check-in sessions can be arranged to keep motivation high and adjustments made if necessary. I coach in a compassionate and supportive way; my priority is that you achieve all of your goals in a sustainable way.
I have a particular interest in helping women. Due to a much-needed increased focus on research into women’s health, the science-based evidence is changing at a fast pace, I can help you make sense of it and utilise it in a way that works for you.
I offer short and long-term options, a one-off session can make a great deal of difference, alternatively, some individuals benefit from long-term support. Get in touch for a chat and make the first step to improving your health and wellbeing today.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked within cancer research alongside clinical colleagues in the NHS for over two decades. During this time, I completed an MPhil in Medicine and went on to study an MSc in Public Health Nutrition as I became more interested in the amazing difference that dietary interventions can make to your health.
