Albany Street Clinic is centrally located just off York Place a few minutes from the tram stop, and a 10 minute walk from Waverley Train Station.   

The Natural Fertility Clinic is also at Albany Street. of which I am one of the team practitioners.

 Well Being Centre, Livingston has free car parking at the door and it has disabled access. It is served by both bus and train services. It is a short walk from Livingston North Train Station, with regular trains from Edinburgh and west from Bathgate / Airdrie / Glasgow.

Registered Nutritional Therapist

I have extensive experience within my life long food based career, delivering the curriculum and national examinations in Food and Nutrition and Health & Food Teachnolgy. I undertook further study and clinical practice to become a BANT registered Nutritional Therapist. I am a senior associate of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the General Teaching Council of Scotland.

College of Naturopathic Medicine: Post Graduate Diploma Nutritional Therapy.

Moray House College, Edinburgh: Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education Teaching - Home Economics.

Queen Margaret, Edinburgh: BA Degree in Home Economics - final degree specialism in Nutrition, Food Science & Food Product Development.

Principal Teacher delivering the curriculum and examining within SQA Health & Food Technology to Advanced Higher level. Qualified to degree level within nutrition; food science; diet-related diseases; food hygiene; practical cookery skills; product and recipe development.

Extensive Continued Professional Develpoment and related scientific research within Nutritional Therapy.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including massage, aromatherapy and nutrition.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

BANT
British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT)

The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.

There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.

All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.

Included in this: Analysis of your case history and food diary, research of scientific evidence, specifically linked to your case history. A detailed nutrition programme, shopping lists and suggested recipes, tailored specifically for you.

This consultation service is suitable either to support any current health conditions and concerns, or to promote optimum health and well being for the future.

30 minute consultation to discuss a food diary and general food choices (without the case history) to assist you improve your nutrition and food choices. £45

'Promoting Wellness' classes (minimum of 10 participants) - Promoting Wellness group education classes, from a range of topics (2 hour class) includes knowledge, foods / recipe ideas and information resource pack £20 per person -please see my website for details http://unique-nutrition.co.uk/group-classes/

Cookery Lessons & Classes - available for individuals and groups - please enquire for further details, with prices and timings to suit your individual needs.

Functional Testing: If applicable to individual clients, I can recommend and arrange optional functional tests. This is at your discretion and will be discussed during your case history.
