Testimonials
“I had a very disordered and unhealthy relationship with food which was causing me constant worry and damaging my physical health. I found it really hard to not feel guilty after certain foods/meals and certain foods themselves terrified me.
Before starting the programme, I was worried that Marcelle would not understand my mindset and therefore try and make me take steps that I was not ready for. I quickly learnt that she had so much experience dealing with people who had similar attitudes towards food and therefore she was sensitive in what she said to me and about progress.
Working with Marcelle has been great for reframing my negative attitudes towards food. It has been so beneficial to use her cognitive techniques, which I could not have come up with myself, to try and remove the irrational thoughts in my head.
I no longer fear certain foods or quantities which I would originally not have gone near. I pushed myself every week to try and break a food rule or ‘red food’ which made me realise things were not as scary as I thought. I also feel so much less guilty after eating and her reframing techniques are only improving this day by day.
Marcelle is so sensitive with her approach. She goes at your own pace and is so supportive. The journal and chat system is amazing to feel like you have her support even when not in a meeting. This definitely helped with my progress.
Thank you so so much for all of your help Marcelle, I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated working with you.”

"I came to Marcelle about my eating disorder, after suffering on and off for around 6 years. My biggest challenge was actually seeking the help as it was something that I thought I could deal with alone; especially as I hadn’t told any members of my friends or family.
At first, I was a little apprehensive about seeking help from Marcelle as I wasn’t sure what could actually be done about my disorder, as it’s not something a lot of people talk about and you never hear about any other success stories. I was also relatively nervous around divulging with someone about my disorder as it was something that I was seriously embarrassed about it.
Marcelle was so lovely and helpful from the off. She was very understanding of my situation and was able to give me advice that was able to help from the beginning.
Marcelle was able to help me change my perspective of the situation and helped to and guide me through each step of the process. She has provided me with methods that I will always be able to implement both now and in the future if I need it.
I would just like to thank Marcelle again for the help that she’s provided and would highly recommend her services. Seeking her help is something I will never regret."

"Before working with Marcelle, I couldn't stop eating. literally, for a moment. I was trapped in a life I didn't like and I couldn't find comfort other than in food.
Working on the programme with Marcelle has provided flexibility, getting me where I needed to go little by little. Now I'm back to my old me and I’ve lost 15 kg. I see food as fuel again but I’m able to enjoy it without that ill relationship anymore. Thank you Marcelle for your patience and support."

"I have always had problems with my eating and weight and went on my first diet at around ten years old. I’m forty- seven now and for the past four or five years have been doing lots of high protein diets to try and maintain a healthy weight but they had stopped being effective, I also felt they weren’t so healthy long term. I was keen to speak to a nutritionist about adopting a more balanced eating regime and Marcelle has helped me do to just that.
Over the six months I’ve been seeing her, I’m enjoying food much more and eating a colourful and nutritious range of foods, as well as taking supplements that are supporting me well and I’ve lost weight (I think, my clothes are looser but I’ve stopped weighing myself).
Marcelle was incredible patient with me throughout this process, I’m not the easiest client and some of my issues with food and body image are thorny and hard to deal with but she’s managed me well and with such kindness! I am incredibly grateful to her for helping get some of the joy back into eating."

“Before working with Marcelle I was developing constant worry, causing me to restrict certain food over fear of them making me ill in the long run. I would have up’s and downs and due to my restrictions would end up bingeing at times.
I no longer beat myself up about eating certain foods. I used to battle with them, restrict them or cut them out entirely. I have also learned to challenge my thoughts when negative thoughts come my way in relation to food.
Working with Marcelle was an eye-opening experience for me.”

“Thank you so much for all your help. [My daughter ] is so much more positive. I think before you she had given up all hope of ever being out of pain and as you can see she is so much more confident.
I know that besides your wonderful knowledge, there is an empathy and understanding that she feels has made a huge difference to how she feels and how happy she is knowing she can always contact your or book an online session.
Thank you once again for all you have done. What a difference you make, you change lives and it must make it all the more rewarding.”
