Find food freedom and balance with our one-to-one sessions where we can plan and help you get to where you want to be. I am Nicole, and at the Ashely Cross EDS, we are dedicated to helping you overcome disordered eating and discover a healthier relationship with food through intuitive eating.
Our approach is holistic and compassionate, focusing on individualised support to meet your unique needs. We offer a variety of services, including:

We are dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment. Founded in July 2021 in response to a 70% increase in referrals, the service operates in multiple locations across the South West of the UK, including Poole, Christchurch, Highcliffe, Southampton and London. ACEDS offers a hybrid model of care, delivering services both in-person and online.

Education and Qualifications
- MSc Health Psychology (BPS) from Bournemouth University, obtained in 2021.
- MSc Psychology of Education (BPS) from the University of Bristol, completed in 2019.
- BSc (Hons) Addictions Counselling from the University of Bath, awarded in 2015.
- BSc (Hons) Human Nutrition from the University of Chester, achieved in 2010.

- Nicole has completed various certifications and training, including ADOS-2, Clinical Supervision, Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society, CBT-E, MANTRA, CBT for Children, and several others related to health and safety, risk management, and child protection.
Professional Experience
- Founder of Ashley Cross Eating Disorders Service (July 2021 - Present): Nicole established the service in response to increased referrals, overseeing eight staff and delivering over 100 sessions a month across multiple locations.
- Specialist Community Practitioner in Eating Disorders at NHS Dorset University Healthcare Trust (May 2020 - Feb 2021): She enhanced her skills in assessing severe cases and trained healthcare professionals in motivational interviewing for disordered eating.
- Psychotherapist at EQ-Wellbeing (April 2015 - July 2021): Nicole delivered therapy across various settings including the Priory Hospital and its Wellbeing Centres, focusing on adult psychiatric and eating disorders units.
- Addictions Counsellor at Action on Addiction (August 2013 - December 2015): She led a structured day program focusing on abstinence-based recovery, including group and individual sessions.
- Young Persons Outreach Worker and Interpreter roles (2015-2016): Nicole provided one-to-one counselling and workshop facilitation for young people dealing with substance abuse and performed interpretation services for social services.
Additional Achievements
- Co-founder of Resurface, a mental health surf therapy charity in Bournemouth (2018), where she combined her passion for the sea with mental health support. She is also involved in developing a sister charity in Lisbon named Currents and Swells.
