About me

More than just weight loss

I will help you on your journey through highly personalised holistic programmes offering expertise in nutritional therapy, personal training, yoga and lifestyle.

I'm passionate about empowering you to discover your strengths and what your body is capable of, revealing how amazing you can truly feel both inside and out.

Working together, I will be your guide, your personalised nutritionist, your trainer, your accountability coach and your biggest cheerleader.

Personalised nutrition is tailored specifically for you, taking into account your health journey, your health goals and dietary preferences. Nutritional therapy takes a holistic approach to your health - recognising that no one system in the body works in isolation and that everyone is biochemically individual.

I take a positive approach to nourishing your body with great tasting healthy food. Portion control, mindful eating and other lifestyle approaches form part of your programme. There is no calorie or points counting and there are no prescriptive meal plans either - my aim is always to educate and provide you with an understanding of your nutrition, so that you are empowered throughout the programme and beyond. Of course, meal planning can form a part of your sessions to help get the ball rolling.

Beyond nutrition

Movement is an important part of your programme, not just to improve body aesthetic (if that is part of your goal), but to support overall physical and mental health in several areas. Discovering what your body is capable of, and building upon that, can be such a powerful tool in helping to love and appreciate your body! This helps encourage you to fuel yourself with healthy foods and grows resilience for any other goals.

Nutritional therapy will never seek to replace any medical advice and I will always seek to work alongside other health professionals involved in your healthcare.

Further information

Like many nutrition professionals it was an interest in my own health and wellbeing that sparked a desire to learn more.  With so many conflicting messages in the media and outdated advice still circulating, I wanted to study nutrition with a solid science and evidence base and so I completed my BSc in Nutritional Therapy at the Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management.

Continued Professional Development is not only a requirement of BANT the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), but also a key part of the You Nutritional Therapy ethos.  Conferences, seminars and courses help to keep me up to date with the latest research and nutritional approaches.

I am absolutely passionate about food and healthy cooking and my aim is always to provide food plans that are not only tailored for specific health goals but that also taste delicious!

I am always keen to share new recipes with clients and have provided recipes and filmed cooking tutorials with Vicky Pattison (Geordie Shore, I’m a Celebrity, Loose Women) for Mini V Nutrition.  Some of my recipes for Mini V Nutrition have also been published in The Sun newspaper.   You can also find some of my recipes in Vicky Pattison’s book, The Real Me.”

I am a keen trail runner and climber and previously a martial artist, training and competing in Muay thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  And so I am personally aware of the impact that nutrition can have when it comes to training, weight cutting, performing and recovery.  To help bring more physical and mental balance into my life, I started to explore yoga. Finding a love for this led me to grow my understanding, and complete yoga teacher training in Goa India.
