About me
Hi, I'm Alison Diss, a BANT registered Nutritional Therapist passionate about helping others to become the best versions of themselves through adopting the nutrition and lifestyle strategies that work for them!
I support clients with a wide range of symptoms, tailoring my nutrition programs towards client goals which may span across weight loss, athletic performance, gut health, skin health, mental health or hormone balance. I take a functional medicine approach which looks at systems in the body and how these systems interact, to explore if there are imbalances in one or more of these systems.
I believe that nutrition is the foundation of who we are because it affects so many biological processes that influence how we look, think and feel, and having experienced first-hand how influential dietary and lifestyle changes can be for living a happy and successful life, I am now dedicated to helping others to achieve their health and wellbeing goals through the power of nutrition.
Typically, there are many factors that may influence symptoms, so it is important to take a holistic approach to understand any nutrient deficiencies that may be affecting these systems and identify which nutrients and nutrient quantities are needed to rebalance the body.
My consultation approach is friendly and non-judgemental and I aim to gain a thorough understanding of my clients' diet and lifestyle to personalise their food plans to optimise results. The nutrition and lifestyle strategies I recommend are evidence-based and supported by the latest scientific research to ensure safety, efficacy and to achieve the best possible outcome from the program. My programs incorporate coaching to help clients stay on track and dedicated support is provided throughout the program.
I look forward to working with you! Please contact me for more information or book a free call with me via my website to learn how I can support you on your journey to better health.
