About me

Hi, I'm Sarah, a Yorkshire-based Nutritional Therapist and asker of many questions! I’m passionate about gut health, metabolic health and how all the systems of the body are connected to ageing healthily.

I founded Create Health Clinic to support you to think differently about food, understand how to feed your body, and make lasting changes so you can enjoy vibrant health in every decade of life.

Whereas our ancestors were simply concerned about survival, we want to thrive as we grow older. It’s not just about living longer; we want to relish the years by feeling vibrant, staying active and mentally sharp, and reducing our risk of age-related disease.

Great nutrition is the foundation of gut health, metabolic health and ultimately healthy ageing, but it can be harder to achieve as we age. That’s where my personal nutrition assessments can help by examining your complex health history and delivering a bespoke programme that supports your unique needs.

Whether you’re looking to boost your current health, or you’re struggling with ongoing health challenges or a troubling diagnosis and you want to go deeper, my one-to-one personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes are designed to give you tailored support.

In my clinic I frequently work with clients who are struggling with low energy and unexplained fatigue, troubling gut symptoms including frequent bloating and reflux, together with those looking to improve their metabolic health and address symptoms including hormonal imbalances, excessive appetite, excess weight,  and blood sugar dysregulation.

I offer an initial free 30-minute health review so that we can discuss your unique needs, and you can find out more about how I can help and the programmes that I offer.

What to expect from working with me
We begin with a comprehensive review of your health history, and discuss your personal goals and desired outcomes. I call this “finding your why” – and it’s a key step in the process. Then we co-create an easy-to-follow nutrition and lifestyle plan that’s unique to you, and that you’ll love to follow. Ongoing coaching support helps you to form healthy, sustainable new habits at each step and ensure that together, we’re always moving the needle towards your better health.

It’s critical to build strong foundations that deliver sustainable change and support healthy ageing. For this reason I always take a ‘food first’ approach as that’s where I see the magic truly happens – using the power of real food to get you amazing results!

For additional support I may also recommend targeted supplementation and, where appropriate, further diagnostic testing which can help refine programme efficacy and accelerate results, particularly in the case of more complex health challenges. Types of tests available include comprehensive stool test, comprehensive hormone panel, extensive nutrient deficiency panel, advanced stress profile, and cardiovascular health profile and are delivered in kit form direct to your address.

Testimonials

"With Sarah's help I've been able to address some root causes of my long-term health issues...
I've yo-yo dieted for years and tried many slimming clubs but a diagnosis of high blood sugars made me realise that I needed to try and get on top things and get healthier. What I really liked about working with Sarah was her thorough knowledge and guidance coupled with the step-by-step food and lifestyle programme she created for me. Sarah is genuinely motivated to help clients take back control of their health and their lives. I now know that one size definitely does not fit all when it comes to food! I understand the best foods to eat for my body and with Sarah's help I've been able to address some root causes of my long-term health issues. I'm excited to continue with this new lifestyle and my journey to better health!" - Yvonne W

"At the age of 67 I'm now feeling healthier and have more energy than 10 years ago!
I first met Sarah through Low Carb Leeds. I'd been living with elevated blood sugar for fifteen years and had just been offered insulin by my doctor as 'the last resort' . My previous attempts at 'getting healthy' had always involved low-fat diets which left me starving hungry and unable to keep them up long-term. What I learnt from Sarah is that some foods trigger our hunger and food cravings, whilst other foods leave you feeling satiated. Since then, by changing what I eat, I have lowered my blood sugar, lost four stone in weight, and my GP has taken me off all my medications. At the age of 67 I'm now feeling healthier and have more energy than 10 years ago! Plus, I no longer have the constant worry of complications from a long-term health condition occurring down the road. I've taken up mountain biking again and I'm a happier man (just ask my wife Carolyn!). It's brilliant!" - Graham H

"I've shed the stubborn weight, balanced my hormones, and now feel leaner and more energetic!
As a triathlete I couldn't understand why my weight was increasing. Mid-life hormonal mayhem seemed to be adding inches around my tummy. In our sessions we covered food choices, psychology, science, supplements, exercise, food timings and health management. Over 12-weeks working with Sarah I've shed the stubborn weight, balanced my hormones, and now feel leaner and more energetic - perfect for enjoying training in the spring sunshine! Sarah's support throughout was endless and she doesn't charge enough!" - Michaela R
