About me
Hi! I'm Gemma, an HCPC Registered Dietitian with 10 years of clinical experience within the NHS and private practice. I specialise in weight management and gut conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I have post graduate training with Kings College London to provide guidance on following the low FODMAP diet and have helped hundreds of patients to find a way of eating that works for them.
My ethos is simple, I want to help people to enjoy food! Whether your IBS is causing you pain and anxiety and affecting your work and/or social life or your relationship with food and your body mean that you have feelings of guilt associated with certain foods, I want to help you to be able to eat with confidence and make the right choices for you.
If this sounds like what you've been searching for, please get in touch for a FREE 15 minute consultation phone call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics in London in 2014, graduating with first class honours. Over the last 10 years I have worked in the NHS and private practice and have experience in gastroenterology, weight management, diabetes and oncology.
I recently completed post-graduate training with Kings College London on Dietary Management and the Low FODMAP diet in IBS.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 14 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
