About me

I'm Frances Norgate, a qualified Nutrition and Lifestyle Advisor and Public Health Collaboration ambassador. I specialise in prediabetes support, blood sugar balance, and general digestive health, working online with clients across Ireland and the UK.

Most of the people I work with have one thing in common. They've been told their blood tests are normal (or borderline) and been given very little useful guidance about what to do next. They're eating carefully, trying hard, and still experiencing symptoms that nobody has properly explained.

Persistent afternoon energy crashes. Waking in the early hours with a mind that won't switch off. Digestion that's reactive and unpredictable. Weight that clusters around the middle despite genuine effort. Skin that won't settle. Brain fog that comes and goes without clear cause.

These symptoms are almost always connected. And blood sugar dysregulation is almost always part of the picture, running quietly in the background, often undetected by standard testing, driving symptoms for years before anything shows up on a fasting blood test.

My approach looks at what you eat, what you eat it alongside, when you eat, and how stress, sleep, and lifestyle are affecting your metabolic health. Evidence-based, integrative, and always working alongside your existing medical care.

I work with adults experiencing blood sugar dysregulation and prediabetes, general digestive complaints, and metabolic health concerns after GLP-1 medications.

The first step is a free 30-minute Blood Sugar Audit — a real conversation about your symptoms and whether nutritional support could help. No obligation. Book at francesnorgate.com.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm Frances Norgate, a qualified Nutrition and Lifestyle Advisor trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), where I studied evidence-based nutrition and functional lifestyle approaches. I'm currently completing my BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy at ION, qualifying in 2027, at which point I will register with BANT and CNHC as a Nutritional Therapist.

I'm a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and an ambassador for the Public Health Collaboration — a UK charity dedicated to improving public health through evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine, with a particular focus on metabolic health.

My practice focuses on blood sugar balance, prediabetes support, and general digestive health. My approach is evidence-based and integrative — looking at food composition, meal timing, stress, sleep, and lifestyle as interconnected influences on metabolic health. I work alongside existing medical care, never instead of it.

My personal experience informs my work directly. In my late thirties I wore a continuous glucose monitor and discovered significant blood sugar dysregulation despite consistently normal blood tests and a diet I considered genuinely healthy. I resolved persistent afternoon energy crashes and reduced my dependence on caffeine through targeted changes to meal composition — and nobody guided me to do this. I had to find it myself. That experience is the foundation of why I work specifically in this area.

I understand what it means to feel unwell and dismissed by conventional medicine — and how much it matters to finally have an explanation that makes sense of your symptoms.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Who I work with

I work with adults — both men and women — who have been living with symptoms that haven't been adequately explained or resolved through conventional care. This includes people who have received a prediabetes warning and been given little practical guidance, people experiencing persistent energy crashes, unpredictable digestion, weight that won't shift, brain fog, or skin concerns that haven't responded to standard approaches.

I work best with people who are motivated to make real changes and want to understand what's actually driving their symptoms — not just follow a generic plan.

I work alongside existing medical care throughout. I'm not a replacement for your GP relationship — I'm a complement to it.

Current scope of practice

I currently work with people experiencing blood sugar dysregulation and prediabetes, general digestive complaints, and metabolic health concerns after fully discontinued GLP-1 medications.
