About me
Spoiler Alert: living the confident, healthy and blemish-free life of your dreams is possible. Even if it feels impossible right now.
I’ve been where you are: struggling to see a light at the end of the tunnel, hiding your skin away from the world, feeling trapped inside your own body.
And now I’m here as a nutritional therapist and qualified facialist to help you gain control over your skin, create healthy and sustainable habits, and live life to the full again. No restrictions, no miracle cures, no empty promises – just working with your body’s needs instead of battling against them.
During our nutritional therapy consultations, we will work together to uncover the cause of your skin condition and find solutions that work for you. Knowing the cause of your skin condition is vital. It might be the foods you’re eating, the health of your gut, the stress your lifestyle is giving you, your hormones, a food intolerance – whatever it is, nutritional therapy can help to rebalance your body and help you achieve long-lasting skin results.
I'm also a qualified facialist and can offer skincare advice, but I regularly work alongside facialists to help you find practitioners for in-person treatments. So we can work topically and internally to get you the best results with your skin.
Training, qualifications & experience
How am I qualified to help you on your acne journey?
I trained in Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and went on to further my studies with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
My passion for skin health led me to deepen my knowledge beyond nutrition alone, qualifying as a Level 3 Skin Specialist so I could better understand the skin barrier and how topical treatments work alongside internal support.
Alongside my clinical practice, I’ve been part of the Clinical Nutrition Team at BioCare, providing practitioner education and clinical support to both clients and healthcare professionals. I’ve also helped deliver the NHS Healthier You Programme, supporting those with pre-diabetes to improve their health through personalised diet and lifestyle changes.
I’m also a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered practitioner with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which means even though I’ve “finished” my academic studies, I’m required to complete a minimum of 30 hours every year building on my nutritional knowledge so that I’m always giving the most up-to-date, research-backed recommendations for you.
I have an annoyingly insatiable appetite for learning everything there is to know about the human body and how interconnected every part of it is, so when I’m not helping clients you’ll usually find me reading journal articles, attending conferences or catching up on a webinar.
And when I’m not being a nutrition-nerd, you’ll usually find me experimenting with new recipes, wandering around art galleries, travelling to explore different cultures and their food traditions, or adding yet another cookbook to my growing collection.
