About me

Do you feel like your body is working against you?

Perhaps you're regularly bloated after meals, relying on caffeine to get through the day, waking up tired despite sleeping, struggling with brain fog, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or noticing that your energy, mood and digestion never seem to feel quite right.

As a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in Taunton, Somerset, I work with people experiencing a combination of bloating and digestive discomfort, low energy and fatigue, poor sleep, ongoing stress, hormonal changes and brain fog.

Rather than looking at each concern in isolation, nutritional therapy gives us the opportunity to look at the bigger picture - including your gut health, nutrition, sleep, stress and everyday routine.

A different approach to nutritional therapy

I created the RISE Routine™ to bring these different areas together in a practical and personalised way.

Rather than giving you a restrictive meal plan or a long list of changes to make, RISE looks at the daily signals that influence how your body functions - food, light, movement, recovery and sleep - and how these fit together within your everyday life.

RISE is built around four key foundations:

RESTORE - support your gut health and microbiome
IMPROVE - support nutrition, energy and healthy blood sugar regulation
SYNC - support sleep and healthy daily rhythms
EASE - support your nervous system, stress response and recovery

Together, these foundations help us create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle routine that fits around your life, work, family and health goals.

How we'll work together

Before your first nutritional therapy consultation, you'll complete a detailed health questionnaire and 3-Day RISE Rhythm Diary. I review these in advance to build a clear picture of your health history, current symptoms, diet and everyday patterns, including your digestion, sleep, movement and stress.

I use this information to begin preparing your personalised RISE Routine™ before we meet, so we can use your 1-hour consultation to focus on the areas that matter most to you, talk through my recommendations and agree how to put them into practice in a way that feels realistic for your everyday life.

During your support sessions, we'll review your progress, explore what's working well and adapt your routine where needed.

The aim isn't to change everything at once, but to identify the areas that are most relevant to you and make realistic changes that you can build into everyday life.

Why work with me?

I'm a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and member of BANT and CNHC, with a particular interest in gut health, the gut microbiome and the gut–mind connection.

I qualified in nutritional therapy in 2016 and went on to spend more than eight years working as a Senior Gut Health Expert for one of the UK's leading probiotic companies. I now bring that experience together with personalised nutrition and lifestyle support through The Happy Nutrition Co.

I offer nutritional therapy consultations in Taunton, Somerset, as well as online consultations for clients across the UK.

My aim

My aim is to help you better understand your body and feel clearer about what to focus on. Whether you're looking for support with bloating and digestive discomfort, low energy, poor sleep, stress or brain fog, we'll focus on practical changes that support your health and work within your everyday life.

Training, qualifications & experience

My journey in nutrition began in 2005, when I launched my first food and wellbeing business producing fresh juices, smoothies, soups, energy bars and functional superfoods. After selling the business in 2013, I went on to train in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), qualifying in 2016.

Following qualification, I spent more than eight years working as a Senior Gut Health Expert for one of the UK’s leading probiotic manufacturers, developing extensive experience in gut health, the microbiome and the gut–mind connection.

I have also undertaken specialist training in Sports Nutrition through The Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition (CISN), and hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification in Understanding Mental Health and a CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills.

I am a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a member of BANT and CNHC.
