As a functional medicine nutritionist I love to work with people who want to heal their gut/immune and digestion health. I do this through nutrition science and motivational coaching/tools that include personal and challenging accountability support. It is vital that the root cause of the gut problem be identified and not focus on the symptoms in isolation. Once the immune system has been supported through natural pre and pro biotic food and toxic foods taken out of the diet the microbiome (good bacteria) in the gut becomes balanced and healing takes place. I am a registered practitioner with GENOVA and BIOLAB if testing needs to be carried out.

My experience as an EFT therapist allows me to get to core nutrition related problems. Emotional Freedom Therapy is a tool that helps reduce negative emotions. This dynamic mix of training, knowledge and practical experience, combined with my passion for making people realise their true potential.
I focus on working with emotions that have an impact on the gut lining. For example stress or fear which are common in society today can alter the good bacteria in the gut and expose our bodies to the majority of gut diseases today.

What can I do for you in our one to one consultations?
I will work with you through a 6 stage food plan that will eliminate some foods that cause food sensitivities/intolerances/allergies, and increase foods that will support your gut. It is vital to detoxify your personal care products as well as environmental toxins that are in our foods. I offer recipes and information that will increase your good bacteria and lower the bad pathogenic bacteria. Through one-to-one personal support via e-mail, mobile and text I will totally support you every step of the way.
You will walk away with a step-by-step food plan of exactly what you need to support your gut health.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a PhD in Nutrition from Warwick University, this explored people’s perceptions of food and reasons for their food behaviour and beliefs. During this time of research I worked on the Politics of Food and Nutrition module with undergraduate students as a seminar tutor.
I gained a Masters in Medical Science in Human Nutrition in 1999 and worked for over 15 years in local government in conjunction with the NHS as a Public Health Nutritionist.
A fully qualified Gut and Psychology practitioner GAPS registered with experience working in the community across all age ranges and cultures.

The first session usually includes a thorough health history assessment and will follow by a specific food plan.
